    Using a Yeti backwards.

I once went on an extended ski trip in highschool in cabins with wood stoves in -50 Celsius. We used our plain old Coleman cooler for exactly that purpose and it worked perfectly. Your yeti will have no problem, I'm sure.

    Lets see some trail photos!

Ahh, the second best province in confederation! ;) Glad you liked wheeling over here. BC is amazing when it comes to the outdoors - I feel very blessed to be here.

Can't you guys in Europe get awesome stuff like Toyota LandCruiser 79 series and such like? Why not get something awesome like that? :D I drool every time I see vids or pics of a 79 series troopy.

Very good points, I would agree. A buddy of mine has a RTT that cost way less than any others on the market. It's actually a name brand, except with none of the branding, bought from the factory in China that makes the branded ones. Crazy how much a little name patch sewn on the side of the...

    Camel Trophy Honda CR-V

I found out that the Honda CR-V was the official support vehicle of the final Camel Trophy race in 2000. Since then, I've been hunting for pics of one, and I finally found some in this thread from Honda Tech: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-cr-v-element-156/uk-camel-trophy-3168218/ Kind of...

    SVO ....Small Vehicle Overlanding

My vehicle didn't have any proper recovery points in the rear, so I added two 10,000lb recovery points bolted into the unibody "frame rail." Another alternative is to mount a hitch receiver and use one of those hitch mounted shackles. I would have gone with that, but money was tight, so I went...

Cool. I hope it turns out to be awesome for both of us. Right now Canada post strikes are delaying the delivery of mine. Hard to wait...lol

I'm curious, does it "reserve" the number, so to speak, when you join the forums, or does it just go by when you pull the trigger and get the membership? I'm planning to buy mine in April or May when we're debt free, so I wondered which number I'd get.

    What is Overlanding?

He and Mary Anne also run the BC Overland Rally, which is an outstanding event. I attended this year (2018) and it was phenomenal. Plus they're just absolutely lovely people. :)

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Did a dump/thrift store run... And figured out how to properly fold out the "bed" in the CR-V:

The official OTO "Ozark Trail Overland" gear thread!

It seems to get excellent reviews, so I have high hopes. There is an Australian company called OzTrail that makes an identical tent cot for a huge amount of money, like $350. I find the similarity of the names intriguing and I wonder if they're not actually the same company. Just be aware that...

Looks like a nice setup that could work for backpacking as well. What's the temp rating on that bag? Almost all my gear is very old, some of it dating back to highschool lol. I got my 2 burner Coleman stove from Craigslist for $20. Gear doesn't have to be expensive to work. I have an old...
