Trolling around my little town in Southern NH

Several in fact! It's tough to connect them without touching pavement for any distance.. That's my challenge in Southeastern NH! Tell ya though, some of the tarred roads I've travel should be ripped up and returned to dirt!!

Trolling around my little town in Southern NH

I have built a couple routes north out of Auburn NH. I do keep going back out and looking at new and more interesting ways of getting north. Current endeavor is working the first leg out of my little town and improve it a bit. I've chosen to go the RT16 corridor north though I still barely...

    Ask About Gaia GPS!

Also sorry to hear this. I do like Gaia, but not at higher pricing! I'll be debating a switch when the time comes if they haven't brought the 5yr plan/pricing back.

    Boston to Big Sky

Now you have 'a taste' of what's out that way! I have plans, once Canada opens again, to run up the Rockies CO to Jasper in a slow drive. There's many areas we've yet to see all there. It could be an awesome late summer/early fall run. Some much you can do out that way!

General Observations about the influx of people to the outdoor world

Can't agree with this! Not with the vehicles I'm seeing!

General Observations about the influx of people to the outdoor world

Man do I hear you! I looked forward to these retirement years for themed-week adventures with less folks around. Then came 2020... Not only are the weekender's out in increasing numbers, but the weekday's are getting crowded. I'm finding free spots are diminishing due to folks over staying the...

    Boston to Big Sky

You've crossed into the land of amazing camp spots. Boondocking out there can be with no or some basic amenities. Your ATB pass gets you discounts in any Federal owned land (free entry). You should try a National Forest while out there! I've stayed at NF's for free & $5 with water & toilet nearby!

    Air Rifles

Purely an entry level air rifle, yet the Benjamin Discovery .22 has been a very nice rifle for reducing the VC (vicious chipmunks) population. Needed a couple easy mods to make it accurate. The suppressor brings it down to a low pop! I've always thought that when I do buy another I'll go up a...

    Boston to Big Sky

If you do Deadwood and visit Boothill (to me the only thing in Deadwood still authentic). Do hike up to Seth's gravesite as well, worth the walk! If you do that, then Cody means all that much more.. So much to do out that way! I'm one that goes away from the interstate as much as possible...

    Boston to Big Sky

If you're into firearms at all, The Cody Firearms Museum is a must see! We were in Cody during Sturgis (many years back) and caught a Motorcycle Rodeo there. Then I had no idea what Sturgis was all about.. LOL Well, that and Rocky Mtn Oysters...

    Boston to Big Sky

It's shame Canada is still closed to traveling through because I now do that as I go west into the northern tier of the US. Keep it in mind as you plan other runs westward and try it. I leave the US in Vermont and re enter in the UP of Michigan (Sault st Marie). This opens up some great...

    Calling all NH people.

That's where I see an overnight for some and extended for others. I figure there is a way we can all meetup/join in if we so try! I can resolve to camping on a weekend if so required... lol! We're together here. What time do you have available? Let's plan time, then plan route.

    Calling all NH people.

Me too! Lovin' it! I still wonder how the heck I got anything done while working for a living... This retirement stuff is full-time!! LOL

    Calling all NH people.

Great! I will add more detail as we approach the timeline. Nothing that I have routed requires anything over a stock rig and some common sense driving. I do have a couple runs I like that do prefer others to spot in areas. It was a great experience for the wife and I. She has yet to learn...

    Calling all NH people.

I tend to do overnight runs, well... because I can and love that part! That does not mean you need to as well! There's always the 'meet up' and run the day, or stay over just that night. How ever it works out, I'll be doing these right into Foliage Season and probably a bit beyond (like last...
