    New England Trails

That's part of section 3 of the NEBDR, no? Can you confirm the State Forest as a 'Pay-to-Play'? Understand just parking there is $30 (non-resident).. no idea what camping might be..

    Legal Weapons and Overlanding

My worst situation thought of is being inside the camper and the forced entry. To that I've installed a spot light at eye level to switch on from inside. Once outside I'd be silhouetted, yet should be able to slide right or left. Thinking I may mount 3 more and cover all sides. Night vision...

    Non Lethal self protection

There is a distance rule that changes from words to action being required. Once that is crossed, is is no other choice. As Kelley is adamant about and I agree, training! I have lethal & non lethal rounds for my .45. My proposed option to replace has the power to hurt and give opportunity for...

    Non Lethal self protection

That is one of many reports out there. I agree with getting trained, nothing like knowing how if required. I have non-lethal rounds for my .45, yet it's a firearm and illegal in several states and most federal lands.Where as the Umarex (or others like) is legal. With projectiles like 'stinks...

    Non Lethal self protection

This is not the place for debate and exactly what I did not wish to see start. Please refrain!

    Non Lethal self protection

My state is a 'Stand your ground' state, as are I believe 28 others. It's those states that are not or Federal Lands.. I looked at the Byrna and liked the HDR50 for velocity and pricing mainly. Both are pretty darn close in performance. Not sure if the build's are the same as the HDR50 (or 68)...

    Non Lethal self protection

After the loss of our last one.. Wifey is set against another. Real shame for I agree, best of all scenarios!

    Non Lethal self protection

This goes right along with: "I don't have to out run the bear, just have to out run you."

    Non Lethal self protection

I agree with what you are saying. The situation that goes that step beyond is when another is threatened and you can't get close enough. I can carry lethal (even concealed) yet exploring options and finding this HDR50 may have that.

    Non Lethal self protection

Grubworm's post is protecting only ones self and abandoning all else. No even a thought for me as it may be for him.. Now, I have no intention of using 'rubber' ammo. Pepper spray has possible use, yet the ammo available and proper shooting will stop anyone. Or at least incapacitate enough to...

    Non Lethal self protection

That's where the baton comes in. Yet at 30ft... no so much

    Non Lethal self protection

Really hope for some real info here. I hope not to begin a debate if you should carry, yet those that do, can place some advise on what and what they use. What's your every trip carry? I'll start with I have a baton, a bat, a walking stick (1.5 ash). I'm seriously considering a Umarex HDR 50.

2024 East Coast Overland Trip (FEELER)

Quite a bit of pavement and easy route-arounds if needed. As we in the Nor'east start frost season and parts of the MABDR being of elevation, I'd not just assume it would still be easy. I'd expect some of those back country roads (tar or not) to be greasy. Hopefully a local will pipe up and...

    Camp shower?

Check me on this. I believe I can restrict flow post heater and not effect pressure down stream of the heater. I believe I may increase psi to the heater by doing this. My pump is =/> the heater minimum so good there, yet flow rate is high. Want to decrease flow rate. I have a shower head...

    Camp shower?

Our current 'cold water' shower limits us to a gallon (okay 2 for her). Reality is it's a rinse. This is what we're missing as we weekly (4-5days) stay at a place with showers. Typically the place sucks and we can't wait to get out of there. This brings in so much! Of course the first words...

    Camp shower?

I bought the unit. Arrives just about on our return from the short run we're doing. Gives me 2 weeks to mount and play with it a bit before we head out again for a bit longer. Thank you all! Safe Travels!

    Camp shower?

I assumed what you confirmed. Just wanted to be sure. Far more than I ever thought! Seems I'll run out of water far earlier than propane. My plan is to dedicate my 2 6g Jerry cans. I guess I'm lucky or water is getting harder to find, yet traveling I always seem to find some. I'll also use...

    Camp shower?

No worries, you didn't. Your unit has is under Electrolux who imports parts (and units) from several areas around the world including China. Paying a lot does not mean quality. Thank you for the a report on 1lb bottle use.

    Camp shower?

You say 'we', as in you bth took that amount of showers or that's the total combined. Doing some averaging of long shower to Navy, works out to ~50-60 showers on maybe 5lbs.. Be that number being both of you, then nearly 100-120 showers! Either way, more that I thought! Depending.. May get...
