Are there any spots to camp along the trail? Or is it just campgrounds? You need all sorts of permits to drive on those trails right?

    George Washington National Forest Native/Guide

Was thinking of heading to this area one of these weekends. It’s a drive for me so I’d have to camp out. I was thinking of doing the peters mill run. Any good camping spots in the area?

    Allegheny National Forest

If you guys ever have room for another rig let me know! I was near Indian lake and lake George a couple months ago but I was working all weekend. No time to explore. It looked like a beautiful area of New York.

Not your typical overland rig 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan

This just goes to show that you don’t need a fancy 4Runner or huge droopy suspension on a Jeep to go overlanding. If a minivan gets you out and enjoying nature. That’s all that matters. It’s all about getting out and enjoying nature. A nice comfy rig you can enjoy, drive for hours...

What tablets will Gaia GPS work on?

I thought I would confirm @Nickzero post. I run an iPad mini 4 in my Jeep with a dual electronics xgps160. The GPS receiver connects to my iPad through Bluetooth. I download certain areas on Gaia gps and can access them offline. The gps unit does a great job. My iPad is the WiFi...

    Anyone using APRS?

Was listening to a podcast about this today. They brought up a bunch of great points both good and bad. I know nothing about this but there’s what the podcast said The good: -in areas around the poles, gps devices have some trouble tracking because of where the satellites are. They...

Perspective of a Newbie! - Trans NJ Trail

I feel like a lot of jersey is exactly what your pictures looked like. Dirt roads through pine trees. As someone also just starting, I tried to go wheeling as much as I could with a stock vehicle. That gave me a very good sense of exactly what I needed. As I went I upgraded parts that I...

Your most rewarding campsite experience ever

As someone who is just getting into overland and camping really, my experience is pretty basic. I grew up with a family that loved the indoors. They hate the outdoors, never went outside, never went on hikes or enjoyed nature. I was the exact opposite. As soon as I was able to explore on...

    Airing down.

Iv always had a question here. What do the pressure readings from a pressure gauge tell you? When your driving on the street, the air heats up and the pressure is slightly higher. So when your airing down to 20psi. Is that 20psi hot? Or do you sit down to say 22 in anticipation of the...
