    Mojave Rd anyone?

Definitely on the list. You can spend lots of time out there and not see everything, like a mini Death Valley.

    Southern California?

Great representation. Where'd you find that? As SLO county I always just identified with ........... California.

    Inverter recommendations

Inverters get hot. That's the nature of the beast, that's why they have fins n fans. If the unit you have fulfills your needs, would you consider mounting options that would prevent burnt skin, melted plastic, or cabin fires? I plan on ducting mine so it will get an assist from convection cooling.

    Overland Xterra

With the extra cross member underneath, my spare got evicted. I need to do this prior to any distance/overnighters.

    Southern California?

And what is considered SoCal? I've seen this broached on other forums. Ventura? Barstow? Bakersfield? I'd hate for folks that only frequent one regional subforum to miss a trip because of an arbitrary line. What is considered NorCal? Do they accept San Francisco? Sacramento? Fresno? By...

First trip advice for a noob near Orange County, California

@dmurph1996 & @irvinemike For you SoCal folks, there is Anza Borrego and surrounding BLM land, Ocotillo Wells (lots of geological tourism there) and Truckhaven, Oriflamme Canyon. Coyote Canyon to camping in Collins Valley at Anza Borrego is a very nice location. If anyone of these look...

    Geocaching

It goes like this...... You seek containers hidden by others. You are given info on that cache from the cache's page, where you get the lat/long and hints on its location. When you find it, you try not to be seen by non geocachers, retrieve and access it. Trade items in the cache, if the cache...

    Geocaching

The kids really get into it. Very much like treasure hunting. Get a free account and download a free version of their app and give it a go. I like using their app on my phone more than using my old handheld GPSr.
