I have ran the same KO2s on my tow rig for 5 plus years. First on my E350 and then on my F350. Last year the weight of my last camper broke two steel rims. I swapped the tires on some different rims. The tires are still holding up well. I use the truck last winter pulling the trailer hauling a...

EWE Banks Lake/Douglas Creek Overland Trip - 5/17/2022
The Idaho BDR sounds fun. I like trips where you get to see stuff you haven't seen before. I will ad it to my list of things to do.
That would be cool if you could show me around. I will keep that in mind when fuel prices come back down.
That is good to know their is an active group there. If I move I will still do a few trip a year with my group. The Blue Mountain trip is always a good one.
I am hoping the fuel prices go back down so I can make our annual trips. If they don't come down I may have to get another hobby.
Thanks for the heads up on emissions testing. I guess two of my vehicles already failed. :dizzy: I know the wife will not give up her built Mustang GT. I am guessing vehicle license will cost more than here in Yakima.
I would think there would be more camps than the OB1 shows. That is a good...
Yes, I am not wanting to be in Boise. It would have to be in the country near a smaller town. I found a place for sale southeast of Homedale. Not that I am ready to move anytime soon. Just like to compare prices to where I am at now.
I am more interested in what motorize outdoor recreation there is in that area of Idaho.
The rest of my 5 kids will be out of the house in a few years so I want to go explore areas to relocate in the future. I plan to go overlanding to see different areas outside of Washington State for a...
Thanks. I understand the seasonal extremes being from Eastern Washington. The desert areas are freezing cold in the winter with snow and wind, and scorching hot in the summer. The Cascades get a lot of snow blocking some access into July. A lot of mountain areas around here are close in the...
I plan to go to the Boise Idaho area maybe next spring or summer. Can someone tell me of places we can diapered camp out of our rig? I would like to stay about a week checking out the area. Looks like there is some BLM land near the boarder of Oregon. Maybe some forest land in the mountains...
Friday we plan to set up camp somewhere on 4W325. If the weather is bad we may camp down low on FS1500 near US-12. We will decide on Friday Nights camp closer to the date. Saturday we plan to run the 4W672, 4W652, stop at Bear Lake, up 4W671, and back onto 4W325 and head west. The rest is in the...
Two of our sons plan to move to Montana within the next 5 years. Within that time all my kids will be moved out on their own so I have no reason for this big house. The internet says Billings has more sunny days than the rest of the state so I want to see if it is a place I want to move to. I am...
The Banks Lake/Douglas Creek road trip to woke us up to fuel cost. To do WABDR 4-6 we figured round trip it would 40 plus gallons plus of fuel from Selah and more for the guys south of us. That is a lot of money in fuel for pavement miles. We decided to focus on more off road miles.
The WABDR...
