april or may would be fantastic. I would have a preference for moments when my kids are on holidays so it's simple if they come with us and i love to share those adventures with them. So we'd have a choice between a) from the 13th to the 21st of april or b) from the 29th of may to the 3rd of...
I told my friend Seb (owner of a Jeep Wrangler and the the second guy from the left on this picture, with the other yamaha tenere) about OB and how much he should join. I hope he gets his membership and log to this forum anytime soon
Hey all OB members, a little greeting from the french Pyrenees where we had a 3 days trip, mostly on vintage bikes. Note to myself : sleeping in the mountain by -6° when you only have a +10° sleeping bag is not clever, go buy some gear! :tonguewink:
Being all alone on the roads, on the trails...
The best moment to visit los Monegros is february - march - april and then october, due to high temperatures it is not a option to plan a trip there during summer (45C and more). Let's find out if we can sleep on light camp sites by the trails :)
Well, i had the Nanopresso but sold it and went back to the old fashioned Bialetti ;)
Regarding the gadgets, excluding the extra batteries to juice up the gopros or cameras and phones, the only "gadget" i usually take with me is a small Bose speaker so i can listen to some music when possible...
Welcome Daniel, we already spoke in another post and, well, we should meet in the desert of Monegros :) Also of course if you plan to head up to Pyrenees, please let me know so we don't miss any opportunity to meet here or there. Your french neighbour :)
Some basic yet useful informations about overlanding in Spain. I hope it will help you prepare your trip :relaxed:
Vehicle traffic must respect both the natural environment and the property and rights of landowners, the rights of pedestrians and non-motorized users, and must not cause...
i would certainly meet you in Monegros with my friend Seb. We both have Jeep Wranglers. He has a black TJ, i have a red YJ. Not the most efficient travelling rigs but fun toys. Yes Daniel, let's do this ! Let's find informations for Monegros and try to set up a rally there. I already found some...
La Sierra de Guara guys... i'm in love. And the best pan con tomate i could eat after a long canyoning adventure was in Alquezar. I would give a lot to drive back there. So awesome !
Lo hablo un poquito pero me faltan muchas palabras y hablar ingles es mas facil para mi, lo siento. Para los Monegros, i don't know anything except it's been a long time i want to go there. Sabes si esta posible dormir en el parque o si necesita un camping ? Do you have kids ? (i have two boys...
Buenas :)
When you know you want to go to the Bardenas Reales or Iraty or Monegros, please tell me. Let’s keep each other posted so we do not miss any opportunity to meet somewhere :)
Hello Daniel,
Not really in Spain, and quite the opposite of your location but i am from Biarritz, in french bask country, close to San Sebastian by the Atlantic Ocean :)
A beautiful trip heading to iconic Iraty in the French Pyrenees. There should be a good amount of snow up there. The idea is to take all the time we need / want to enjoy this little trip, have a hot drink up Iraty and then drive back home. 40% unpaved roads / 25% trails.

I would love to meet you guys during your trips down here so it's all good ! Pierre, no problem for the camping spot, i'll provide some :)
As you both know, camping in the Bardenas is 100% illegal and i would not even think of it. You really don't want to talk to Guardia Civil officers...
