What's your campfire in fire season or no campfire areas?

Correct, they are considered propane stoves. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

    Mud flaps

I am just adding some to the rear of my Jeep JK after our trip across Soda Lake on the Mojave Road, that mud is very corrosive and was flinging everywhere including all over our trailer. I was also concerned with taking out someone else's windshield after coming off the trail. AEV makes a nice...

Navigation software that will run on Android 4.1.2?

My InReachSE is pre-Garmin also. The Earthmate app is the Earthmate app, it either works on 4.1.2 or not. So if it works on mine it should work on yours. I say all of this with the caveat that it could stop working with the next app updates as 4.1.2 is very old in the android world and...

Navigation software that will run on Android 4.1.2?

I have Gaia running on Android 4.1.2. After some feedback from the Gaia folks, 4.1.2 is about as old an operating system as they support but it does work. It occasionally has a moment when it freaks out but a quick restart of the app fixes it. That would be my suggestion. I also use Garmin...

    Dash Cam Suggestions

We've got a couple of these Roav units as well for the last 8 months or so, no complaints so far. I drive from Rancho Palos Verdes to Hollywood and back everyday. I could start an entire YouTube channel with footage from the cam...LOL.

M101A1- Anybody got one? Pics? mods?

Looks good! While some you say you don't need them, I am really glad I went with electric brakes on my new axle. It's a big load off my Jeep and to be able to modulate the trailer brakes separately over obstacles which is a great advantage.

    Tembo tusk, who has one?

The picture I wanted to add yesterday to my post...building breakfast!

    Tembo tusk, who has one?

That's how it's supposed to work, you cook towards the center and then as things are done, you move them to the sides to keep warm. It's a great advantage. When we cook up breakfast sandwiches, we do the bacon first, slide it to the side and then toast the bread, slide that to the side with...

    Tembo tusk, who has one?

Love our Skottle, we didn't even use our camp stove on our last trip. We've cooked for 6 on it without issue. I really like the size of it, I wouldn't want it any bigger as it would be too much of a hassle to haul around. It's well made and the storage bag is great too. The Skottle...

Road Shower 2 Five-Gallon Pressurized Solar Shower Review

I'm not sure who you are asking but I'll jump in here. I don't weld aluminum and I have read a bunch of the do-it-yourself plastic pipe shower builds over the years and they never work out to be as efficient, don't heat up as fast, don't retain heat as well, etc. I don't mind paying for a...

    Overland Ram Mount Solutions

Those Nite-ize Steelie mounts are great for mics, I've got them in my Jeep as well. I have yet to have one fall off no matter how harsh the road.

What's your campfire in fire season or no campfire areas?

Campfire in a Can is what we use, it's a shame they went out of business, it's very well made and puts out a nice quiet flame. Seen in the background here on one of our more fancy camp evenings:

    Matrax Mounts and locks?

I made mounts for my trailer but it utilizes the Maxtrax Locking Pins to hold the mounts. The pins have a provision for a TSA style padlock but I don't feel like that will do much so I just run a cable lock with a padlock through the handholds and around the rack. Has worked fine for many miles.

Road Shower 2 Five-Gallon Pressurized Solar Shower Review

This review sealed the deal on the Roadshower 4 for me. Even though it was about a previous model, it answered all my questions and then some! Very impressive, thanks for taking the time you did to do such a thorough product review. Haven't used it on the trail yet but got it mounted up on...

SOLD SoCal - Jeep JK Gobi Stealth Rack $1100 Local pickup only

It's time to sell my Gobi Stealth rack! I bought an expedition style trailer a couple years ago and the Gobi has pretty much been in my garage ever since. I just don't need it anymore as we take the trailer when we hit the trails. Bought new in 2013, It comes with the sunroof insert, wind...
