    Jeep renegade for overlanding??

Lots of people use smaller rigs for "overlanding". We use our patriot, there are a bunch of people building Renegades all over the world for off road travel. Being a trailhawk it already has electric rear lockers, and decent ground clearance. For a week trip, it's about as great a rig as you...

    Jeep Gladiator Steering Repairs

I am going this route for piece of mind. I feel a little slop in my steering now. My 2011 never had any and it had 300,000 km of hard off road use.

    Jeep Gladiator Steering Repairs

I understand that, I was just suggesting this item because it's a dramatic difference in the way your solid axle vehicle drives after installation. I am putting one on our jeep soon. I have a little dead spot in my steering box as well. When I replace, since im not under warranty, I am going...

You will do fine I'm sure. Do a couple of pratice clips while waiting to go, and a bit of reading you will be fine, I am sure of it!

If you want to go one farther get the griffin attenuator from YETI. It works awesome for on road handling of our jeeps. Also, if your steering box is acting up just goto PSC and buy an upgrade.

We are getting into video this year too. I am going to use vivtar "sport" 4k cameras. I am going to try to get 6 of them if they provide adequate imaging. I will be using my iphone 11 with a Ulanzi rig and anamorphic lens for all other video. I think it will be fine for what I need. Good...

    Tire Recommendations

wildpeaks are awesome tires. KO2 is the standard. I have heard they do wear faster. My friend has wildpeaks on his TJ extended and I love them!

We do this route every time we are in Nova Scotia. Newfoundland is a whole other ball game here. We have so many places nobody sees since they stick to the "touristy routes". The back country has the best accomidations......Wilderness!

    Tire Recommendations

I have been through many brands and types of tires, Had the ST Maxx. They did not do well on my Jeep. Ride is very very stiff, had a pull to the left ( it was the tires, in them since new), and others had this issue too. Very heavy tire. Wear was great, but once down past 50 percent it was...

    Plans for the New Year

We are just getting started on instagram. I am not a fan of expo anymore. Long story I am not going to get into here. Yes, the Sport S with max towing is the build sheet I have saved. Ha ha ha. We will be going to get some things up on our blog soon. It's been a mess of a year for many...

Best overland vehicle with 7 seats

Yep. that's him. I was starting to sort out my burban with his help. Unfortunately I had a massive brain fart and was selling my house and therefore never needed the suburban and plow....I am still in my house, with 700ft of driveways and now a little dinky plow on my JK. Live and learn.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

I am going to retract this comment a little bit. I am going to correct it by saying MOST led lights suck. I have had a chance to experience Vision X LED, WOW.....WOW.....BEYOND WOW! I installed 2 sets of rigid side shooters on a western star for a client and they were meh...nothing great. I...

WE LOVE our 2015 patriot. My 2010 was a CVT equiped FDII model. It' was terrible on gas, slow, I had constant issues with the transmission, and it was just terrible. Other than the transmission it was awesome.

Best overland vehicle with 7 seats

This guy has an awesome Tahoe. I wanted to build my suburban the same way, but sadly I sold it before I could get around to conjuring up the necessary parts. It's an arb front bumper from a series 100 LC with the sides fabbed up a bit to fit the fenders of the tahoe/suburban. Then he had to...

Thats what I love about the Jeep brand. Most use the same wheel pattern so one wheel from one rig fits on another and looks great. I love seeing commanders with Wrangler wheels on them. Same with GC's. and then vice versa. I would love to have a set of hulk's from a commander on my rig.

Ok, The air is an option. but it's an awesome setup for an all around system. If you have 265s on it now, that's more than big enough. Going back to my patriot driving, I ran TONS of off road milage on 235's. Sounds like your jeep is really setup and you just need to find places to go...

That's good to know. I am not sure where my A4 trans is sourced from, but I have to remove it and rebuild it this spring. Then, I will take care of it and it will be fine.

Your cherokee is a great platform to overland with. sounds like you have a great start on the gear. I would probably add a RTT to it instead of the ground tent. Plan some places to go, use gaia and plan routes. Add a small lift and bigger tires to the GC to give you a bit more clearance...
