Let's see those rigs in action

She was... and she loved it. That was the first real trip I took her on and other than a fuse falling out for my KC lights, she ran like a champ.

    Essential Solo Overland Recovery Gear

This is my setup... add in a full sized splitting axe... it doubles as a BFH, but can still be used to chop the dead tree to winch it out of the way.

Skottle v. Coleman Dual Burner Stove

Depends on the size of skillet, I have a 6” skillet for when it’s myself, at home we use the 18” for everything, I also have several DU sizes... small (2QT) Medium (4 QT) and a large (8 QT). I still want/need a griddle... I do all of my cooking over a portable fire pit... when the burn bans...

High vs low gear count transmissions

I have 20 gears... 5 speed transmission, 2 speed transfer case, and an auxiliary transfer case... on the street it’s five speeds, up in the hills putting down those steep gears is nice... so 20 mpg on the street running 3.75 gears and cruising at 70 mph at 2000 rpm, or crawling at .5 mph over...

    The Tri-Cities Clubhouse

What's a good way to charge my 12v battery box?

On to the dollar charge controllers... if you get a Zamp 60 amp controller you can use it as a DC-DC charger as well. Then all you have to do is add wires from stock battery to wherever you want to hook up the charge controller... that would be the best route to go... start with getting the...

What's a good way to charge my 12v battery box?

I was referencing stock alternators, I know I can have an electrical motor repair shop wind one up to 500 amps if I really wanted to pay the money (depending on application).... I just bought a stock 195 amp alternator from a 1998 Ford E-250 with a 5.8L to be rewound to 350 amps for my 1989...
