The stratchits should work fine. FR also has the right angle blocks to put it in secure it. I think you'd be okay. You can also get a hitch mount or a cooler mount for the front of the vehicle, like on a surf fishing rig.

I agree. It's not hard at all. No different than daily life. Bring extra insulin and extra candy / sugar. I've got all low carb food packed on board. I even have mountain house scrambled eggs which is super low carb. I do get nervous when out of range for cell signal, because who knows. But...

I'll be there. Not driving out but I am renting an "all terrain vehicle" from the airport. I guess that means Jeep Wrangler, but we'll see. We (my family) planned to do some off grid sight seeing while out there for the week.

I originally hated these. I've rented a malibu, equinox, and an acadia over the last two weeks for work and I must say the GM stuff is comfortable and real nice. Looks like a great platform to build.

I don't have a winch bumper because of the weight and I don't need it but I have this brand new to market Midland 6Db gain antenna mounted on my lightbar.
