    Reaver's DIY adventure box!

Spent the last few weekends getting the edges of all the plywood sealed up. I finished that yesterday. This morning, I went to Lowe's and picked up some FRP boards for the skin, a couple of 1x2s, and some 1/2in aluminum angle. I spent all day getting the front, top, and back skinned. I also...

    Drawer system

I've never had this problem. You'd likely have to build your own, and build it in a way that seals around the drawers, though I'm not entirely sure how you'd accomplish that.

SOLD SOLD (Southern Idaho) JCR Universal Aluminum Cargo Basket $200 obo, can deliver up to 200 miles

If it's a solid 47x47,it might be a bit big for mine. The rack on my X is 40" wide, and the frontier is about the same. I'll think about it though.

    Extendable Rack RTT Trailer Build

Nice build! I too, am basing my water system off an ironman 4x4 tank, but I'm using the 10.3 gal dual jerry can tank, since I already have it. I think using a scissor jack is a great solution for the rack. I'm debating on making mine liftable, since I'm going to have to have it custom welded...

Can you take the middle section out? If so, I could probably use this. Located in Caldwell.

    Hyundai Santa Cruz...

Don't have a Santa Cruz, but my wife has a 2014 Hyundai Veloster. She bought it used with 30k on it, and it just rolled over 100k last month. She's had ZERO trips to the shop to fix anything. She's also really good about keeping up on the maintenance. This is her second Hyundai, and the first...

    Reaver's DIY adventure box!

Maybe pulling it behind the Xterra, but I'm planning on using the frontier to pull it. I may take it to a scale once it's done to see how much it ways. I'm guessing just shy of 2k.

    Reaver's DIY adventure box!

After doing a ton of research, I found out you can seal the edges of the plywood using titebond 3 glue. ALOT of people use it to do what's called "poor man's fiberglass". So last weekend, I started sealing all the edges of the plywood using titebond. I basically have the back side of the...

Reaver's 03 Xterra XE "Gamora" build thread

I figured out why I wasn't getting the relay to trigger with the problematic switch. Turns out the spade connecter had dropped out of its holder, and wasnt touching the terminal on the relay. Reseated the connector, and everything works again! I've noticed the rear tends to squat when the...

2004 Nissan Xterra - Back from the dead.

Two questions..... Where did you mount the mxt275? I mounted mine under the driver's seat, and ran an ethernet cable up to the center stack. What's with the flatbed? You can post a Pic like that without some details....

If you're going to ask "what vehicle is best..."

This might be some of the most sound advice I've seen posted regarding this topic. Another thing to consider is in the current used market, prices are already inflated. A good used vehicle that a few years ago would have cost 6k, will likely be 8k now for the same vehicle. If the latest and...

    SW Idaho Overlanding

Considering it happened right after we came down some pretty steep switchbacks not 30 minutes earlier, it could have been MUCH worse.

    Refrigerator & Battery Question

This is a fairly accurate assumption. I've been running my fridge off my rockpals 540Wh battery pack for about a year now. I've run it in the hot Idaho summer, and in much cooler weather. With a 12v stabilizer wired inline with my fridge (unnecessary with a regulated 12v port), I can get about...

    Refrigerator & Battery Question

Both units have about the same capacity, and have regulated 12v ports. Do you have an inverter in your vehicle to charge it while driving? If so, I'd say get the one that charges the fastest with the inverter you already have. Otherwise, I'd say get the cheaper one. Keep in mind, fridge cords...

I've also thought about getting one of these. I don't know that I want all the weight of a winch and steel bumper in front. Both my frontier and my Xterra are not known for getting great gas mileage....

SW Idaho or SE Oregon This Week

Are you looking to stay somewhere for a few days, or move everyday? There's so many places in the Owyhee you can go. If that's the direction you want to go, I'd be happy to pm you a few spots. I don't like posting mine publicly.

    Privacy Shelter

What do you define as "breaking the bank"? Are you looking for something freestanding, or something that's attached to your rig? We've used a pop up shelter for a couple years, and it works well. I did just buy a vehicle mounted shelter as well (just delivered today, so no review yet). I...

    Jackery vs Yeti

Perhaps the Jackery 1000w 12v output is regulated? Either way, if OP buys one that's not, it's not the end of the world. Just something to be aware of, is all I'm saying.

Does any company make a TRUE satellite based AM FM Stereo/GPS system (not cell tower based satellite but actual SATELLITE based)?

I'm confused. I had an android based head unit that used true GPS for navigation, and the OE head unit in my 2013 Frontier also uses satellite GPS for navigation. Is that not what you're looking for? Or are you referring to something like Sirius xm for satellite radio?
