I've cut up an old frisbee and used an old Wagner heat gun to melt it into cracks and holes in kayaks to fix fix them up. That's about it. So this has already been informative
I admit I did have to shuffle around a couple of coolers and a tote from the bed to the back seat to make room to sleep, but I figured that was going to be a lot easier than climbing 8 feet in the air or towing a trailer around. So to be fair, with all that shuffling, I'm not sure this is my...
"...just be glad that they aren't clogging up the trails."
This.
I dont go out every weekend. I'm not out there for weeks at a time. My desires come from better hiking and camping. I get out there when I can. I was just going to say, "more room for ME, then, when I get time to go."
It's...
Badlands of South Dakota are only a 12 hour drive from you. It may be cold then. I dont know what your or her camping experience is, but if she's enthusiastic about camping and is a trooper in the cold, Badlands is absolutely one of the most striking places I have ever been
Hey, the cap can be painted. Looks like it fits OK. We used ours for our cross country trip and slept/ camped in it a lot. Keeps gear or cargo pretty dry and relatively secure
I like this generation Silvy. Some people gave it guff for theb"angry eyes"look. While I'm not fan of those angry eyes Jeeps, I dont see these as that. I see them as a modest move in the market direction everyone was leaning towards at the time - the start of swooping headlights.
Nice looking...
Ok. However, they must make something similar that withstands the corrosive action of gasoline. You could work it by hand. I dont know exactly but I'm sure something could be rigged up.

Mine has gone back and forth between being uncared for when I bought it, to being made primary vehicle status and condition, then secondary, then the third string. I've done the water pump, power steering pump, starter, brakes, replaced the fuel rail, front hub assemblies, steering drag linkage...
I have tow vehicles that would be considered good for Overlanding.
- 2014 GMC Sierra 1500, 5.3 liter 8 cylinder with Leer camper shell on a 6.5 foot bed. Built a platform for the bed and put a TracRac on top of the shell. Bilstein 5100's with a front level. Needs nothing but maybe some new AT...
Thanks for the tip! Diana's Bath is a nice spot, but it is also very well known. Depending on the time of day, you could be there alone, or with 40 other people. So, while nice, it can get busy. I'd wager that right about now, few people are wading into the river.
Could that swimming hold have been Diana's Baths in Lucy Brook? Been there as well and it sure is nice. Crawford Notch contains the very first hiking trails in NH. I'm in Mass and NH is the nicest, fastest getaway. I always enjoy my time up there
