    '14 Overland Super Charged Raptor

Awesome rig! I'd like to install rail riders to the bed of my 2015 F150. Can you show me some details on the install?

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

I installed an SPOD SE and my Rigid Industries lights. The front lights are both dually versions, one 60 degree diffused, one spot mounted in the Rigid brackets. The reverse lights are SRQ2 60 degree diffused. I mounted 2x2 scene lights on the front stake pocket in the bed. I want smoked...

    Exhaust Wrap

I will vouch for jet hot, I've had multiple sets of headers done by them. Awesome company and product.

    On the Trail Cooking

Sodium is a problem in a lot of "Just add boiling water" meals. Check out packit gourmet and good to go meals. These are the absolute best boil in a bag foods I have found.

    Overland Safety: First-Aid Kits

I agree, that's old thought for sure. You want blood to stay in the torso and you don't want blood flow to continue between bones. Get the TQ on high and tight then perform care. You're dialed in brother!

    Overland Safety: First-Aid Kits

This is awesome and as you have updated, the time is 8hrs. Many have had them applied for longer and lived with full recovery. Another major problem people have is placement. The TQ needs to be put on as close the the torso as possible. GWOT has absolutely turned the tides on TQ SOPs...

Looking at starting an overland rig...but

If you're that deep there are other issues to consider like your differential and transmission breathers too. My 2015 F150 3.5L ecoboost is awesome. I use it as a daily driver as well as wilderness search and rescue. I'm not super brand loyal, I've owned multiple Silverado's, keeps, and...

What vehicle/engine/mods are you running and what are your underhood temps?

HiLift jack: is it really needed?

Hi lifts are a specialty tool that requires significant knowledge to use properly and there is required mainanance if you mount externally or it will fail. I carry my stock jack along with a 6000 lb power built bottle jack and for winching I have a 3 ton more power puller with am steel blue line.

    Exhaust Wrap

Get the DEI brand and coat with their silicone sealant. Be forewarned that if you use any brand it will retain moisture and rot out your system.

    Handheld radio recommendations

HAM is where it's at! I prefer Icom radios but there are other great units. I have an icom 51a plus that's modded for mil coverage and a baofeng uv+5r for a back up. Next up will be an icom 5100 mounted on my dash as I need more range. Download the ham test app to practice on your phone...

    Best Gas Can for Overlanding

They swell once filled and mounted making them very hard to remove from their mount. Do not over tighten the twist mount or you'll be in trouble.

    Farm Jack

I have a hi lift and don't like it. Matter of fact it's not on any of my vehicles, it's in my barn used to pull posts. These jacks are dangerous and have limited use. Trucks don't have jacking points like they used too. I'd bet most hi lifts mounted on the exterior of trucks won't even work...

    tire swing out rack

Keep that pull/locking pin greased with red n tacky or similar, they like to seize up and they are impossible to remove. Every one I've owned does it.

    Just bought a SHIFTPOD.

It is pretty crazy how BM has changed for sure. Like RTTs they are niche, and small window of usage. I have a couple sierra designs tents used for more traditional camping that get used a lot. One cool thing with the shift pod is that I get far less condensation than in other single wall...

    OB Approved Chain Saws

I've got a lot of trigger time with saws and there is some good knowledge being dropped here. I'm a Stihl guy but huskies and echos are good too. I run an MS461 with a 25" bar and a 32" bar only when needed. It sucks sharpening that many links. Yellow chains only for me. I also run a heck...

    Navigation help

I use GAIA on my iPhone and iPad for hasty search and rescue ops until we can get paper maps. If you go pro you get a lot more access. Downloaded maps can be pretty huge and used completely offline.

Goal Zero Yeti 400 Solar Generator Experience?

I've had my 400 for a couple years and it's amazing for weekend adventures on its own or add solar panels for week long plus. Right now the boulder 30 panels are clearances out, grab them while you can.

    Just bought a SHIFTPOD.

That could be. The owner of the company actually rents these out at festivals so there are fewer owned personally than one might think. Shipping is going to be expensive due to size too. I hope you find a good deal on one.
