I've got family in Green Castle so the next time I'm out that way I'll give you a shout. I've been looking at the trails and I think it'll be a good motivator for me to explore some new areas. I'm not too concerned about the actual badges either. I don't see myself pasting them all over my Jeep...
Yah, they are a ways from Minnesota. There's only a few that are within reasonable distance from me. Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky and Indiana. But hey, if you ever make it down this way let me know, we'll go hit some trails and earn some badges.
Following. As for where I would take it, I'd always have it in my Jeep, especially this time of year with the snow. But I think it would be better served giving it to my daughter who is now in the girl scouts and loves the outdoors. Would be a great tool for her to have on her new journeys.
Any of the Jeep people on here have any badges of honor? I downloaded the mobile app and checked it out online as well. The trails look pretty cool and I like that they have the difficulty level attached to them. And fortunately, not all the trails are out west. Several of them in the midwest...
Thanks for your thoughts. I'm leaning towards a roof rack for excess gear and eventually getting an old military m101 and putting an RTT on that. I don't want to give up the fastback soft top. Which unfortunately cuts down on inside storage space. Thanks again for your thoughts.
I've been out since 2004 so my last issues were desert and woodland. Never got issued the digital stuff. But yah, for my area too, woodland camo seems to work best.
In the spirit of winter, let's see your rig in the snow. I think my Jeep was a little angry the other morning that I had to go to work, instead of taking it to play in the fresh snow.
What lift are you looking at? I DD an 07' GC and would like to put a small lift and a little bit bigger tires on it. Just curious what your thinking about for modding the 01'.
My Jeep is a moderate build. Always a work in progress. And stock, Jeeps are very capable. But I bet a lot of the people on here could run circles around me on the trails in a Yugo. It's not what you drive, but how you drive it. I learn a lot on forums like this, regardless what the person drives.
