I have been using the same hose (or similar) since about 1998 without any issues.. bought two more of the exact hose last year for my second buddy heater and for my lantern.
I second the “JetBoil”… I have switched over to a similar stove system and am not looking back… ok I’m looking back and thinking about getting a multi-fuel stove like the MSR WhisperLight Universal Muliti-Fuel Stove because it runs on propane, white gas, kerosene, diesel, and even unleaded fuel...
I’m glad to see you all had such a great time. Hopefully next year things will line up where I can get to either the Rally or Expo or both.
@OTH Overland thanks for getting some kind of organization at the event. Great idea on the sign up sheet and and prize.
I can’t find any roof boxes that fit my needs or in my price range.
What all do you guys put in your roof box?
I am wanting a water/air tight box to hold my Gazelle T4 Plus, sleeping bag, air mattress,Mr Buddy Heater, fishing gear, and a couple of camp chairs. The T4 Plus packed up is 63”...
Th reason you’re getting flack is because OB is very clear on the priority of Overland Coms. First is Amateur Radio, secondly is GMRS, and third is CB. LTE isn’t mentioned because it’s not reliable for Overlanding trail coms, or as an emergency coms backup off grid… we would have better luck...

Easy to add solar...
Also check in to the “Treaure Valley Crew”, they are heading out Friday from Caldwell and convoying down together. If nothing else be sure to look for the guys at the Expo.

I don’t understand your comment about 40m HF… every time I turn on my HF rig 40m is hopping with POTA/SOTA activators and hunters… breaking through the pile up might be a challenge, but I find calling CQ on an agacent frequency gets me at least one contact. Jumping in on a Net gains me several...
Hello and welcome to Overland Bound. @OTH Overland is the acting member representative for your area. As @Ubiety pointed out, keep an out on the Rally Points for events happening throughout the Northwest.
There is a lot you can do with a Subaru… I’m looking at downgrading my Full Sized Bronco to A Forester or Accent. Adding a 2” lift, and some armor… the Subaru is a very capable brand right out of the box… don’t let the 2” of ground clearance scare you…
@David H, @reaver , @dansun86, and a few others are meeting up to convoy down from the Boise Area. You might want to change the RP details to say this is for the “Treasure Valley” members and members along the route to meet up… there is already an official thread(s) for the Expo in general.
