Well that was easier than I thought. A live chat with a BFG rep on their site yielded this info. I used your KO2 265/75/R16 as the example tire.
@80 PSI it would be 3415 lbs.
@40 PSI it would be 2100 lbs.
@35 PSI it would be 1910 lbs.
So it's not quite a linear dropoff rate ( where 40 PSI...
I'm a big fan of the BFG's too. I ran their KO2 before switching to the KM2. One thing to note about the sidewall rating. That weight rating is only when the tire is inflated to the max pressure. As you air down, the overall weight capacity of the tire goes down too. Looks like the specs for...
Whewww!! I just went back to page 41 and followed everyone. If you got a Like for your post, it meant I started following you. Some accounts were already on my list.
Feel free to follow me on IG @4xFar_Adventures
@Simon Wolfe there's also the MendoRecce group. They aren't a club, just an active Google group mail list. A vast majority of the members are Series owners, including Timm Cooper, Linus Tremaine and TeriAnn Wakeman. They have an annual weekend camping trip at Cedar Camp in Mendo Nat'l Forest in...
Glad to see the excitement building for another OE! Everyone will have to report back asap for those of us who can't make it. My plans were to attend OE, but then that was switched to a week of training/certification in Moab the following week. Then I broke my leg and none of that is happening...
Welcome. I'm in SF and we need to meet! You should also consider joining the Northern California Land Rover Club. I'm a former club President, and Erin (@erinw.rrc) is the current President, who lives in Santa Clara.

What are you planning to use for the tension poles? It might be easier to use telescoping poles that go straight to the ground. Hooking them to the slider cuts off the side of the truck and you'd only have access from the front of the awning.
I have a DIY version that uses a waxed cotton tarp...
Seems like we can all agree that any terrain not covered with asphalt or concrete is a winner in our books! I like hearing when one person's favorite terrain is another's bane.
A hammock is intriguing and something I've not used when camping before. I'm hoping to get an OzTent this year, but having a hammock for those base camping days in the summer sounds wonderful.
Do you ever have issues with condensation? I know a few people who sleep in their rigs and it seems to be pretty common. Not wanting to setup my tent in the mud while it was raining, I spent a night sleeping in the back seat of my truck. I was expecting to wake up sore all over, but everything...
Nuttin'. My truck has been away for over a month now. My friend has it trying to get the Evap and Catalyst monitors reset so it can pass SMOG.
If anyone knows the secret to get these set in a 2001 Land Rover D2, please let me know! I have found multiple lists to complete different drive cycles...
I've had the same sleeping bag for almost 10 years and it might be time for something else. It's a bag from The North Face with my name all over it. Really! It's called the Big B! It's a 20* bag and has served me well throughout all four seasons. Snow camping required some extra layers on me and...
So my previous post on the trail condition you FEAR the most had some pretty good replies. This time, I'd like to know what trail condition is your favorite?
I'll start off with granite rock. Like a giant slab or mountain's worth of it. The traction it gives is unbelievable. To this day I still...
So this is for all of you who have had patches made. This year, in addition to the stickers, I'd like to get patches made with the whole 4xFar Adventures logo. I know there are a few of you on the OB forums who have done this already and I have a few questions for you.
What are some of the...
