Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Hello all -
I am looking into sliders or something that will give me better protection than my OE running boards. Anyone have or had the N-Fab sidesteps on your rig? How did they hold up off-road? Do they get hung up on the trail? My options are slim on my platform 03 Suburban and N-Fab is one...
Like the new rims and tires. What kind of lift did you put on? Was that lift front and rear or just the front?

Very nice clean looks good. I am looking at doing a Duramax swap and Allison swap eveuntually but not sure. I do like the Chevy LQ4 V8 and many many after market proven go fast parts to boot so down the list. After market bumpers are $$$$! Probably do sliders and more recovery gear first. If you...
Trip computer showed the following:
1812 miles
152 gallons of fuel
Avg. 11.3 mpg
Many many pros to owning a 2500 Suburban. Gas milage isn't one of them the 6.0 liter likes to drink gas + lifted and bigger tires really made my milage worse. Iirc it was 12-13 stock on avg now more like 11-12...
My kids are 14 & 17 so I know I've been there! My wife and daughter aren't into camping so really only rollout with my son as he helps with driving if a longer run. I am a tentative for now as I just got back from Seattle the will hit Corral Hollow on the 5th.

Lol yeah I am in a different situation 14 year old 3/4 burb so extra pieces will be kept as I replace with heavier duty components. Looking at common failures for the platform like axles and tie rods obviously belts etc. Also depends on length and duration of the run or how technical is the...
Very happy with my current setup! Recently took an 1800+ mile trip to Seattle and mount Rainer was epic! We we're unfortunately on a very tight schedule but was able to spend a full day circling mnt Rainier loop 1. Highly recommend this route to all who visit. Suntop lookout (5200ft) was a nice...
I think that is a great start to your build. Add some sliders for piece of mind I tapped my running boards twice on a moderate trail! I try not to travel alone until I have enough experience and gear/spare parts to get myself out of jams. I've been wrenching and learning all I can on this...
I'll let you know if it's a go for me. When will you be heading out early Saturday or Friday night? I am planning to head out to Corral hallow on the 5th since we been waiting for the path to clear.
Might want to ask the moderators to move to the trip planning section of the forum.

Thanks bud! This was done over time it never ends with any hobby...lol Yeah swapping out the coil pack and Platinum plugs made a world of difference. Throttle response and just idles silky smooth love it. My upper ball joints came as a part of the Cognito UCA. Still need to replace my lower ball...
Mount Ranier is a must! We took loop 1 circling the mountain and it was epic! Suntop lookout is a nice little bonus off-road very easy and can be done in a car but for obvious reasons SUV or truck is best.

Welcome to OB! I have an 03 2500 6.0 Suburban so can relate to wanting better off road drivability. I never felt the need to hot rod my burb since I don't tow alot and performance is adequate for me. Simple drop in K&N. I am looking to replace the OE intake tube with Air Raid and stock air box...
Nice feedback on the differences of the K02S vs KM2. I know the KM3 are going to be coming out soon so will be looking out for those on my next set.
