Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Well we were headed to Colorado, Wyoming, then over to California. But we have since pushed our leave date back a little to try and avoid road closures and heavy snow.
I think i'm going to go with the Bilstein's. I'll get the 5160's though for the rear(they are currently out of stock at shock surplus). Haven't decided on what to do with the front. It's already leveled so I may just go with a set of 5100's and not adjust them out as much and then change my UCA's.
18's is the lowest I can go on wheel size for my titan. I think the gas version could go to 17's. Funny you mention the Kenda Klevers, those are one of the tires I have went back and forth with wanting but just didn't want a wider tire. As for the wheels, they are supposed to have a design that...
It sucks!! LOL no matter where I want to go its 4+ hours away. I feel like that kid in school that had to sit in the corner away from all the other kids! I can hear and see them having fun but I just can't get there.
I've wondered if it would really make that(35's or 37's) much of a difference on the trail. I like the tires I have now I just want them to be more aggressive. My rig is wide enough as it is, I don't need it to get any thicker lol!!
I don't know enough about the whole unsprung rational weight mass etc...when it comes to wheels. But what I want to know, is, is there a great enough reason to buy new wheels over the one on my truck. Stock 20 inch Nissan titan XD wheel. I was thinking of going with an 18in wheel. Probably a...
I've seen the countryman lifted with all terrains, lights and roof rack and I think a front bumper. Pretty sure there are a few of the BMW's out there on the trails also. Make it work for what YOU need it to do.
Yeah that's my biggest concern probably. I thought about the convenience of being able to pass through the vehicle to get into the rear but it really isn't terrible to walk 5 feet right lol?! A good awning system and you wouldn't hardly notice! I like the idea of two separate components incase I...
I just looked up those Bundutec's! Those are nice. Definitely will have to look into them some more. Thank you! And I keep a ground tent so I can always escape to it when I need to get away from the women!!
Looking for some input on the best platform for a full time overland build. Since the subject has been something that has come up at home more and more, I am seriously looking at what would be the better route. Right now I have a Nissan Titan XD truck which I love. But I'm wondering if maybe a...
I would love to be able to do that but for my job there really isn't a remote work option. I have to put my hands on items and look at them. I wish though!
It really is! I followed it but it seemed a little different then some recent videos I've seen of the trail. We didn't take it all the way but we will finish it.
