Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
In my experience the vehicle going up the trail has the right of way. They generally have to work at it more than the vehicle going down. However, if a vehicle has already started coming down before you make your way up, I would give them the right of way and then after they pass continue on.
I hate to say it, because that is one clean WJ, but they will probably total it. Maybe you can buy it back and turn it into your dedicated overland rig and get something different for dding?

That's the issue with most Jeep forums. They tend to be filled with rock crawlers and if you're different they're quick to judge. One of the reasons why the only thread I look at on a Jeep forum is the one about overlanding.
