From Hunter mountain to Copake is basically all paved. The dirt increased as I got closer to the Massachusetts border until it was about 50/50 dirt and pavement. Connecticut had a very long section of dirt going into Massachusetts. I would say overall, section 3 of NEBDR IS 50-75% off pavement

Wharton state park (NJ), Stokes State forest (NJ) and mt Washington (MA) are approximately the same travel time from NYC

Did from Hunter mtn to Readesboro on Columbus Day. Route is blocked by a billion trees at 42.39315, -73.20425 but just to the right a bypass has been made. So incredibly scenic and it had a good mix of paved and unpaved roads.

I just watched your video, it does look like an easy drive. I would love to join the drive and exploration if logistics allow
