  • Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

    Shenandoah National Park

I would definitely appreciate that, thank you! I’m trying to spend the majority of the week leading up to thanksgiving camping in that area. I’ve never been there. Also, are there any recommended camping spots, or ones to stay away from?

The OFFICIAL Trans NJ Trail Thread

My wife and I got an unexpected free Saturday today and we decided to go check out a portion of the TNJT. It’s been raining pretty good lately and I was curious what this section would look like. Also wanted to test out our new auxiliary lighting setup No down trees or anything like that to...

    US East NY in October

From Hunter mountain to Copake is basically all paved. The dirt increased as I got closer to the Massachusetts border until it was about 50/50 dirt and pavement. Connecticut had a very long section of dirt going into Massachusetts. I would say overall, section 3 of NEBDR IS 50-75% off pavement

    Affordable A/T Tires

I love my West Lake SL369 235/85r16 tires. They were like 100$ each. Had them over a year, not a single problem. I will be getting them in 285/75r16 when they ever decide to wear out. Quiet and well behaved on highway, good traction off pavement and in snow, over 30,000 miles and still looking...

    F150 King Ranch

That is a nice looking truck, I think if I had the funds at the time I purchased my truck I would’ve gone the exact same route as you. Maybe you can try those crossbars that put the RTT just an inch or so over the bed. I think they have them for like $150 on Amazon. I did that until we were...

    North East Backcountry Discovery Route

Did from Hunter mtn to Readesboro on Columbus Day. Route is blocked by a billion trees at 42.39315, -73.20425 but just to the right a bypass has been made. So incredibly scenic and it had a good mix of paved and unpaved roads.
