  • Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

Welcome Russell! Thank you for your service. If you haven't yet, check out the Florida Adventure Tour (FAT). Looks to be a nice intro to offroad / Overlanding in your area.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

I have to change wheel bearings about yearly. Seams salt water / sand, mud and river crossings are tough on 'em.

    4x4 Differentials

I would run with the oem recommended. Unless you have a highly modified diff with custom bearings etc. I run lockers and gears in mine and oem weights are fine. As far as brands, that's a bag of cats discussion :) I personally have always run Valvoline.

    West to East

You're right near a lot of great options. Check out Tackett Creek area just north of you. A little more north into KY to the Daniel Boone NF, or south to Tellico plains areas. Windrock is a great OHV park.

Midland GMRS 50w. Excuse the dirt. This place is dusty! Next challenge. Your rig overloaded and ready for the start of an adventure.

Post pictures of your camp kitchen

I have 2 of the Coleman gas stoves, just cannot justify the $$$ for fuel! Went to a Camp Chef propane.

Boom! Easy choice for me. DBBB / Ky - Mountain Springs Rd, Spaas Creek areas are endless fun. Next Challenge - Farthest off-camber pic of your rig!

Slid sideways onto a tree when the hillside surface gave out. 26 degree off camber, by myself, and not enough block/pulleys to pull sideways. Just had to drive off of it :/ Next challenge, your rig next to a waterfall.
