  • Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Upgraded the power to weight ratio in the battery department. Removed 2 68 lb optima agm batteries and replaced with 200 ah of lithium goodness at 47 lbs. 4 times the runtime and saved about 90lbs. Also added in the Redarc DCDC charger.

US Southeast Caravan to Cape Lookout

I saw this while we were at Charlotte races last weekend and caught myself trying to rearrange my life so I could go back. Was there in November. Just too short notice :(

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Today was "Take your truck to work" day. Used the winch to pull a huge tree off of my tower backwires. Required 2 heel blocks. Tree was trying to pull my truck up the hill...

Looking for help around Geeat Smokey Mountain

Yes, just lock the most valuable stuff to keep the honest people honest ;) I'm 40 miles from there and always enjoy the area. The only caution is if there is a heavy rain event. The 1st crossing can get sketchy. Otherwise, check out maxpatch and buzzard roost areas nearby.

Looking for help around Geeat Smokey Mountain

There is camping in several areas. If you have onxoff road, you can check for private property. If you're entering from hwy 40, almost everything to the right is Pisgah national forest, with several spurs that have primitive camping. When are you planning to go?

A good tool to quickly air down your tires that wont break the bank.

This. And the whole thing fits in a door pocket with room for an ice scraper too.

    US Southeast Uwharrie Weekend Run

Hey Eric, I checked those boxes thinking it was a recommended item list. I'll modify it. Many of the trails do not require anything other than decent tires, excepting Daniel and maybe Dicky Bell. There will be several winches in the group, so you should be fine :)

    US Southeast Uwharrie Weekend Run

Yea, sorry about the repeat invite. I did cut down to 10 as the available campsites for a large group are few.
