Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

What a trip! You have Montana, Idaho, and Utah if you keep in a straight line south. That will be extremely scenic. I used to work in Western Colorado if you deviate farther east of Utah. That will be a great one, Cappy. Bring a fly fish rod if you're into that.

4 new long travel shocks in, then small stuff. New bulbs, new gas shocks for the lift gate etc...and next up is copying @Steve and getting some light in the cargo area that's actually effective!

Tomorrow I'm going to head out and scout Hi...
Sounds awesome but I'll have to later in the year. (Should have new needed parts by then too) I'm thinking Sequoia in the early Fall. If you go, someone map it please!
I refilled my refrigerant. Super easy and should have done it a while ago. 30 bucks and a$10 refund for bringing the can back to recycle. If your a/c doesn't blow that cold, it was super easy. Also ordered new led bulbs for interior lights and gas shocks for the old lift gate. It's the little...

So what was recommended to me by a 4Runner only mechanic in my area was just to get an additional leaf spring in the back...it should give about 2" of lift and help with 150-200 lbs I'm told. It would have some rake, but even when loaded, which is important for me. Anyone...
If anyone comes to my neck of the woods and feels like driving on some sand, the Pismo Dunes is a fun option. It's certainly not off the grid and certainly can be the opposite of "peaceful" at times, but it is fun.
For 5 bucks you can drive on the beach and out into a designated dune area...
Right Michael! It's the same. I have it for emergencies and last Saturday was way up in the Ventana wilderness again and wanted to see what my truck could do. I figured why not try airing down. (Climbed a very steep wash out no problem at all) I was surprised at how much difference it made. If I...
Thanks guys. I really do appreciate the insight. I don't plan to go too high at all, but want a better ride with weight in the back, so all this is great advice.
