Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
I have been running Galileo on my iPad for a couple of years now. I have a data plan on the iPad but you can preload your maps to work either online or off. Great for importing importing and recording routes. Been very happy with it. Have a RAM mount on the dash which attachments for either my...
I researched for some time before I settled on the Dometic CF50. Have had a few Dometic 3 way fridges in campers that worked great so I knew they were reliable. I also found that either the Dometic is made by Waeco or the other way around and Waeco's are very popular in Australia. I also came...
There was a father and son from near me who did it last summer in a Jeep pulling a enclosed trailer. The guy that started the route was a dual sport rider so news of it spread in those groups. I think that's why it's called or described as a dual sport trail or route. It is on my bucket list to...
Thanks, I love that shot. If I didn't know any better I would think it was down in south America or somewhere like that. We try to find a ferry along our overland routes when possible.
The ones I bought were also 9w as I recall but also never tested them but they sure got hot. Still have them and will probably end up using them for something. You do get great light coverage with your setup. This is the light coverage I get with the LED strip for the cargo area, leave my stock...
Nice setup. How are those lights working for you? I didn't check the wattage of the ones you bought but I was going to do something similar (lighting wise) in my setup but the ones I bought off Amazon got real hot. I went with a strip of LEDs which has been working well so far.
I have been looking at fridge drop slides for my rig but what is available are pretty expensive and most of those would also have to ship from Australia so that adds to the cost. Have thought about trying to build my own but have limited fab tools and or experience. Anybody here have a drop...
Thanks for the welcome @Steve looking forward to seeing what the members here are up to. We do have a few good forest near by and a good off road park but for the really good stuff and scenery we have to travel north.
I used to run a pump but for the past 5 years or so have been using a 10 lbs Power Tank. It's not the unlimited source that a pump is and I have to pay to get it refilled but it is so fast for airing back up and you get a lot of air out of that size tank. I'll have to weigh the tank to double...
Of course as others have said it really depends on the terrain I will be traveling. I will frequently go down to about 8PSI but am running dual bead locks with 35" BFG KM2s.
Just signed up and look forward to seeing what I can learn from the members here and hopefully pass on some knowledge of my own. I am from the Orlando FL area and my rig is a '09 Hummer H3 Alpha. I have done numerous mods but will go into those in another thread. I have been wheeling since...
