Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Im only kind of a fly fisherman. I have a tenkara rod but i just got it this summer. It was a terrible year to pick up fly fishing here in the west, lots of my local rivers and streams were closed to fishing because of drought conditions.
So I fished mostly lakes, not ideal for the tenkara...
I worked on my bumper this morning before going to work. So much left to to do! I could finish it in a solid days work I think, but I'll never get a solid day to work on it.
Test fit the bumper on the jeep and I wasn't a fan of the gaps so I broke a bunch of the welds and I'm rebuilding the bumper on the front of the jeep so I can dial in the gaps a little better.
I'll drive with you! There are a few more Washington members, maybe we could collect some Oregon members as we go, have a real convoy! Might scare all the Prius's out of California if we get enough tire noise going!
I Would give up insulation for having it be not attached to my house. I work nights, I get home late, everyone is asleep, perfect time to do some work, but I can't because of the noise! @jordanbrooks ypu should get a kerosene jet heater. When I lived in Wisconsin it's what we used to keep warm...
The soft shackles I ordered from Lucky 8 off road arrived. I saw Outdoorx4 post about these on Instagram last week and knew I needed some. A few years a go I was giving a truck stuck in snow a tug with my Xterra when the trucks recovery point failed sending the steel shackle attached to it into...
I've thought about the tank tuck, but I don't know if I could could cut off all that sheet metal. I use my spare tire well as a big trunk at the moment too. I've been thinking of doing a rear bumper with a huge skid plate for the tank as part of it. I know it wouldn't help my departure angle...
I ran Goodyear DuraTracs on my Xterra and they were amazing. Honestly the best tire I've ever owned. Looked awesome, great snow traction, expensive though. I have general grabber at2's on my jeep right now and I can complain. They don't look as aggressive and cool as the DuraTracs, but they are...
Tack welded the bumper together this evening. Thankfully welding doesn't make too much noise so I can do,it after the kids go to sleep. Need to test fit it, modify it for recovery points and fog lights, weld it all solid, clean it up with angle grinder and paint it.
