    Bye Felicia

My shovel is mounted to the roll bar in the back. Always there, no one has to see it.

    Bye Felicia

I think overland fashion will die out, not actual camping. Driving to work with shovel, traction boards, etc is just embarrassing folks.

    Best electric cooler

Really like my alpicools. Got 3 of them. Two 35s ans a 55 quart. They all have LG compressors, Bluetooth app, and work really well and do not draw a ton of energy. The 35q lives in my jeep full time, 365 days a year. The smaller side is on 0° and larger side is 35°. My 1024wh battery is...

    Financing My First Rig

I'd kill for those APR... My surgeries tanked my credit score. So my last vehicle i paid 50% down payment.

    Awesome tire deflator

Just got this in today and tested it out. Why didn't they make this from the beginning?? It clamps on instead of having to be screwed on, which was super annoying when freezing outside.

    Solar panel

I don't have 2 fridges, just alpicool 35 or a 55 quart depending on how long I'm camping. My 120w panel keeps my 1000wh battery topped off as long as it's sunny. I can go indefinitely with this setup. If I were to want to run 2 fridges, I'd bring an extra set of solar panels, like my 220w...

    Coffee Set Ups

I use a cheap pourover with peruvian ground (my wife is peruvian and has coffee shipped here lol). Sometimes even the korean instant coffee, which is actually really good (compared to other instant coffee). I wont even use a filter, if theres debris in there, whatever.

Microwave power use tested vs Induction vs electric kettle

I try to minimize energy use, but as a chef, I need a cast iron pan. No comparison for certain foods. Need a crust on my steaks or toasted breads. Im not sure id ever bring a microwave to camp. Looking for a tiny toaster oven though, something that could do 1 steak or sandwich at a time. Ive...

Electric Breakfast: Power used for 2-person Camping Breakfast

Im not sure if i measured a morning cook, but I'd say less than 200 watts total. Small pans and pot heats up quickly. Downside to this is i don't think titanium works, I mainly use cast iron pans and a small stainless pot.

    Hot Plate VS induction cooktop

I use one of these. Bought one used for $50 on marketplace. Heats up my 8 or 10" cast iron fairly quick. I wrap it with a microfiber towel for safety.

    Sedona AZ trip

Thanks for that information. I made a list of lesser known trails as well. Worst case scenario, I can ask the visitors center or Rangers. Yeah, usually I go in the winter, when there's less people. But I wanted to do a trip before summer rolls in. I stay home when it's warm out until things...

    Sedona AZ trip

Doing a quick 4 day trip to sedona in a few days. My mom and her BF decided they want to go. They have a rubicon with a 22' trailer, but stock wheels and tires, so limited on where they can go and camp. I'm camping on the trails. This will be exciting! I've been there many times before, but...

    Solo Winter Camp

I love solo camping, and I love winter! My favorite combination. Normally I prefer to camp solo (just with my dogs), but my friends usually try planning trips together. My dogs and their dogs do not mix well, so it's a pain to babysit which dogs are out at what time etc. When solo, I just keep...
