    Camp Lanterns

I picked up a cheap texport LED lantern on sale and it hasn't died yet and gets rough use so im pretty impressed. I also use chemlights sometimes. They are fun. I try to keep a dim camp. Enough light to do things safely but dark enough to keep some night vision.

    Favorite Driving Snack

One time I made a bunch of biscuits before a road trip. It was a good snack. Only they are all gone before my first fill up. :(. I just kept them in a baggie next to my jerky and pretended i was on a wagon trail.

    Any Preppers/Threepers?

Im pretty jealous of some of the prepps you guys have out there. Hopefully when i have a permanent place to live i will be able to stock up. For now everything needs to fit on my rig to move around.

Do you get asked about your rig?

I get that too. Also all my Nissan badges have slowly disappeared. Other than that people only ask me about the hurculiner i painted my bumpers and hood with. Or i just catch them feeling her up! They like to touch it. Don't. Its textured, sharp and pokey.

BOB aka Bug Out Bag, Who Carries One ?

I keep one and am constantly changing it to my area. I like to layer gear so i can easily adapt depending on the situation. The first layer is protective clothing. A nice set of boots and wool socks. Durable for the areas environments. Then my 9mm a fixed knife and a survival tin that i put...

    Morale Patch Collecting

I have seen some panels for displaying patches. Its like a sheet of loop side with grommets in the corners for hanging. You might be able to mount one of those somewhere like a door panel or wherever you want. Id try looking on amazon.

    EDC Pocket Organizer

Thats pretty cool looking. I don't like a lot loose in my pockets. Maybe this might be a better option. Let us know how it works out!

How to Start a Fire - Collected Wisdom

I save up all my dryer lint and then cover chunks in Vaseline. Then i pack a few in a ziplock. Easy fire starters. I also keep a firesteel, bics, waterproof matches and other strikers. One time i started a fire with a bottle of water just because i read about it. It was not a quick or easy way...

    GPS Failure Scenario

I use one of these... Though i have been looking to buy actual gps units for a backup. For now i use my phone. Mostly for navigating unfamiliar cities to find hotels or specific stops when short on time. I like collecting maps so whenever i go to a new area i pick up a map. I keep some in the...

How well or detailed do you plan your trips? route/timeline/campspot

It depends on what kind of trip im on. If im driving across the country I like to have a lot of flexibility. I have gone 2000 miles only taking naps at restops and eating from vending machines. Since ive done it a few times i have certain towns and restops i like and then i plan the rest on how...

    First Aid & Field Medicine

Nice! I keep a pretty well stocked kit in my rig that a put together after taking a WEMT course a few years ago. I don't need to use it much, but when I need it I have it. I also think that any bit of training one can get makes a big difference. If your going to learn to do damage, you need to...
