At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

Overland trailer W/tent and awning and much more Uvalde TX

Nicely configured! Looks like a good bit of thought has gone into it. Opting for a full travel trailer? Just curious. Good luck, should go quick!

    Winter Camper?

If by hot tent you mean with a wood stove? I have tried that too, but I had to get up to stoke the fire and add wood. It was ok but not fun because it was 4:30- ish when I had to get up and mess with it. It had also gotten cold, which is what woke me up... I have high expectations for the...

Looking to build, here's my concept

I like the idea of keeping it simple, but there is wisdom in planning your build around what you want to do. Lots of folks would throw a roof tent on top and gear in the bed and go. Then you hear how they get frustrated when ever they have to pack up camp to go explore. If you like to move...

    Bed side rack options

I modified a contractor rack to have extra storage and a deck for my rtt. Some expanded metal for decking. Works great! for accessories like the jacks and shovels, I think the super strut will be perfect. Lots of existing brackets and attachments so don’t have to re-invent the wheel...

    Winter Camper?

Thanks, I picked up an All-In-One diesel heater and have been playing with it in preparation for some winter camps

    Winter Camper?

To date, I have not really been a winter camper. With recent developments in affordable heating options, insulated clothing, 4-season tents and a strong desire to get out and enjoy nature, I have arrived at a point I’d like to give winter camping a real go. I have noticed an extreme decline in...

Small world! I’m in Kuna! I have a welder and I’m getting ready to play with some super strut for some accessories too! I’d be happy to help or collaborate?

What is the last thing you bought and plan to buy?

Still finishing up the trailer build. Ordered some tent pole brackets for the roof rack platform shade canopy. Also finally found some heat duct hose vents for the diesel heater I like. looking for some boat seat deck mounts with poles and a small deck mount table top to mount up there. I...

Which after market anti-condensation Matt for my rtt?

how do you like your tent? I really like the extra room in the Smittybilt OL XL. The mat adds about another inch under the mattress. I have not camped in the cold yet but with the set up of the diesel heater, I anticipate no condensation to worry about. still thinking about getting a liner tho.

    Sold my RTT...Why??

I understand the sentiment... First time I saw one in a campground mounted on an M101, I thought to myself..."Self, you need that in your life..." Then I started seeing them on trucks, jeeps, SUVs and thought to myself... "Self, as cool as that looks, I'd hate to have to break camp every time I...

    Homemade road showers

I’d stay away from the PVC ones. If you can fabricate/weld, I’d recommend hitting a scrap metal yard and looking for a air compressor tank. They already have pressure relief valves, bungs for air inlets/hoses, etc. If you are DIYing your shower, that will get you going cheaper than buying a...

    One night gear test

yes, I’m building one. A 180. The way I mounted my tent(off the back) limits the space to 180 degrees. My rtt has the annex so I still have covered space under the tent, off the back. Will put up pics soon as I skin the frame.

    One night gear test

I was thinking about the walls as wind-breaks but also to keep the rain and such at arms/awnings length. Had not thought about addressing awning placement to prevent rain getting between the mounts and the vehicle, so thanks, good insight...

Which after market anti-condensation Matt for my rtt?

Opted for the Den-Dry marine anti-condensation Matt, in king size. Highest ratings, made in the good old USA.

Solar panel install on roof rack

Uni-strut is very useful for this. Lots of hardware to mount it to existing racks, as well as structural stability for the panels themselves.

NJ ORV - Soil Retention - Carbon? What Da?!!! They're Serious!

Don’t get too excited, this same brain-trust thinks cow-farts are contributing to global warming and the melting polar ice caps. Thankfully, most of them also eat tide-pods, so we just have to tune them out long enough to let Nature take it’s course...
