  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

    Ohio Roll-Call!

My only concern would be flexing... The roads are usually fairly rutted and will require a bit of flex. I would never say no they couldn't come. They can come... I would just warn them that they will be taking some time to figure out the right lines to prevent damage.

    Ohio Roll-Call!

Awesome looking rig... You shouldn't have any problem on the trails we are going on... Do you have tow points? We'll have plenty of recovery gear if needed. I took my jeep on these roads when she was stock... we had no problem.

    Ohio Roll-Call!

Hope to see you... Make sure you pm me to let me know that you'll be there. I wouldn't want you to get there a bit late and us leave not knowing you were coming...

    Ohio Roll-Call!

Hey everyone... I've got a few people coming this Sunday. As fare as difficulty. The trails I'm taking you guys on are the same trails that a few jeep groups take as the "novice runs" for new guys. Really the only hard part about them is how much your vehicle can flex. In any event, I've got a...

Tire type, rim sizes and such...

my 2 cents on rims... We all know weight is an issue... That being said. Yeah steel rims are nice because you can bend them back... You can air way down and not need to worry about damaging the wheel beyond all use. Alloy rims are nice because they are light weight and harder than steel... The...

    Ohio Roll-Call!

Yeah, I was thinking that field would be easier for people who have not been down there before. On the 11th. I was thinking of meeting people from Columbus north, or anyone really, to ride down to the park together. And then meeting who ever wants to at the entrance... To be clear, Lets meet at...

Tire type, rim sizes and such...

Oh, and check out www.simpletire.com Their stock changes often but they seem to me to always have the best prices when they do have the tires I want.

Tire type, rim sizes and such...

I've run Mastercraft, coopers, bfg, for many many miles on and off road... By and far the stock Jeep Rubicon Tire is crap. In order to keep them flat you need to rotate them way too often. The Mastercraft tires that I've had have all been good and given me good millage. The Cooper STT tires have...

    Victoria

Welcome to all of you... I would love to get off the road down under... I spent a bunch of time in Brisbane and the closest I got to off road was North Stradbroke Island...

    Ohio Roll-Call!

Lets start getting a tally of who wants to got then. As well as what type of rigs. I don't want to take anyone down there just to break. because the trail was a bit too much. So, knowing what type of rig and your experience will help me plan what routes to take you all on. Also, this will be...

    Ohio Roll-Call!

I'd be up for leading a trip down in Vinton County. Dec. 4th would be a possibility. Maybe the 11th.

    Backup cameras?

Definitely have a backup camera... I even put a front camera so I can see the break over points and what's just beyond them.

    SNOW DAY!!!

Little jealous... I never have time during the winter to get out...
  17. w_m_photo

What do you do when trapped in snow

All depends on where I'm heading... If I plan on being on the pavement the entire time I pretty much bring what is always in the jeep... Winch, recovery tools (snatch block, straps x3, shackles, shovel), hat gloves, heavy coat (Fire Dept. Turn out Coat), axe, full sized shovel, blanket, CB &...

    Favorite Trail Meals

Well, with two little girls, cooking is always fun. Breakfast; I like oatmeal on the trail... The girls however do not... So, it usually ends up being cereal of some sort, Quaker Oat Squares or generic seem to the choice lately. Lunch; as simple as possible. Lunch meat, PB&J, a green pepper, a...

    Winter Car Sleeping Tips?

First thing to come to mind is that you should always remember your seat is not insulating... No seat in a car is insulating. They are specifically designed to be as breathable as possible. So, if you are sleeping in your seat, front or rear. Make sure you insulate yourself against the seat. I...
