Does your output hose give off a smell? My black Amazon hose makes a nauseating smell.

Just ordered the 5kw Vevor diesel heater for the Death Valley trip on Nov 2nd. Planning to place the heater on the jerry can holder on the rear swing out while I bunk in my vechicle.

Im planning to use a tire step and cover it with a small tarp-also off the ground from mud and puddle. But I have a cot inside my vechicle.
