Am I missing something that would allow me to permanently shut off mobile chat? I know how to shut it off for the present session. I never use chat and most likely never will.
Does anyone pressure can meals to take with on trips? I would like to find another alternative to sandwiches and the rest of the typical camp food. The boil in a bag meals are okay, but hardly compare to homemade.
I’m going to try it out for myself. The only downside I can think of is jar...
I scored these today for $40 on Facebook marketplace. The guy that had them advertised them as ramps, but they may be stair treads. They are 6’ long, 10” wide, and about 1 1/2” thick. I plan on welding in angle iron at 1 foot increments. I just haven’t decided on what to do at the ends, leave...
For some reason I can not make heads or tails of this diagram tonight. I just bought this voltmeter ammeter from Powerwerx to monitor the 12v system on my trailer. The link on the diagram doesn’t work, and I keep confusing myself. Does the ground input come from the neg post on the battery, and...
I am in the planning stages of my next trailer build. This one will be teardrop styled, but may end up a enclosed cargo conversion. Whichever path I take, the trailer will track the same as my jkur. I want a rear galley, and an awning. Maybe two awnings. Lol
For those who built their own...
I have been contemplating which gear set to put in Number 7. I have 4.10s now, with an automatic and 35s. I do not plan on putting on bigger tires. She does pretty well now, but I don’t care for how she pulls the trailer over mountain passes. She always searches for gear. It drives me nuts. Lol...
The army surplus store on the corner of Foothills and Division has 4 Scepter fuel cans as of today, 8/11/18. He wants $60 each, and all 4 are green. I had one in my hand, but realized I was buying another just because of the color, so I put in back. Lol
I had a one of my padlock hasps grenade recently due to pressure building up in the scepter can and a rough trail. I originally used a gate hasp to secure the can holders I built on my Bantam trailer. The hasps worked good, but ultimately, moving parts led to a failure.
While looking for a...
Please note the following: 1. Event may cancel should a wildfire start in the area. 2. There are no facilities. Pack it in, pack it out. 3. Plan on no campfire, unless we get some rain before the event. 4. Pinstripes are mandatory. The trail is tight, and overgrown. There is a steep climb and...
The Liberty Lake Police Dept is having it’s second annual Cops, Cars, and Cruisers for the Special Olympics. There is no registration fee, but a $20 per vehicle donation will get you a free T-shirt. You must pre-register to be guaranteed a spot. Registration can be done at...
Is anyone else interested in spending a week in Moab instead of eating turkey? Or maybe somewhere else?
Mrs. Lorax and I like to get out over Thanksgiving. We have no plans as of yet, but I mentioned Moab to her. Something West coast is about all the requirements we have.
Anyone have any...
Mrs. Lorax and I took a week off and went to Banff, Alberta. The weather there was less then cooperative, so we turned around and found sunshine in Idaho and Montana. Here are a few pics from our week.
The climb to Conrad Lookout. It’s steeper than it looks.

This is a fun trip! It isn’t difficult, but the roads are tight and the climbs are steep! We will camp at Table camp in the Snow Peak WMA.

There is a ton of information on this page. All open forest roads are shown, plus you can turn on campgrounds and much...
We’re headed to Alberta and British Columbia for a week to explore! The only real plan is to see Banff and Jasper. Beyond that, we’re looking for the best in the Canadian Rockies that we can find in a week.

I recently started conversation with the Kettle Falls Ranger District in the Colville National Forest. In the next week I hope set a date to clean up the Huckleberry Jeep Trail. I have a trailer that can be used to haul trash. I plan on making a weekend out of it. Who’s interested in helping?
