I love Arkansas, specifically the Ozarks area around Cass. It's about a 4hr drive for me and well worth it. The people, trails, scenery is all fantastic. I think you are really going to enjoy it. It will be a lot more humid than Vegas but that's what swimming holes are for.
I just like the outdoors. Sometimes it includes camping and sometimes it doesn't. Truth be told, I am pretty happy in a campground at an offroad park. I'm also pretty happy in the mountains, by a river or at a lake. I used to love sports but I barely watch or play them now. I would be just fine...
I'm not knocking BFGoodrich. Frankly, no other tire manufacturer supports off road activities more than they do. They've been at it for a long time and have a great reputation, deservedly so.
I am going to suggest you take a look at Nitto Ridge Grapplers though. They are 10 ply, perform great...
I don't have a blanket answer for this. Littering is a no brainer to me. Everyone should know better. The getting off the trail etc. is a different thing altogether. I think there are a lot people out there who genuinely don't know better.
I would approach it on a case by case basis. My first...
By gosh Navy-Jeeper, it sounds like you are an old school guy who sees the potential in being a part of this forum and sharing your knowledge and experience with others. Great to have you here!
So this was kind of my point although I did a piss poor job of communicating it. I don't think Michael and Corrie have a unique responsibility to fight trail closings simply because they profit from an internet forum. We all have the responsibility, including them, but I don't see their...
Sliders first, without question. Best insurance you can bolt/weld to your rig. Call Midwest Expedition Outfitters in Tulsa, OK. They build awesome sliders for your rig.
This is a great event. It would be fun to have a group of Okies meet up there. Last year was the first one and there were 163 rigs there. I met some great people there last year that I’ve been camping and wheeling with this year. Byrd’s adventure and the Ozarks is one of my favorite places to go.
Thanks for putting it out there. So is Oklahoma considered Southwest? I was thinking Midwest. We're kind of MidSouth but that's not really a thing. I need a map to identify these regions. Regardless, I sent them a request to join.
I see this place as a public forum for people to share ideas and information. I have no issue with the folks who make this forum available to all of us profiting from it as do the owners of just about every other forum out there. I've learned a lot from car forums, gun forums, etc. This one is...
Yes please. I did not even know there was a facebook group. Here is a link to the event. https://www.overlandbound.com/event/central-oklahoma-meet-and-greet/
Will you please post a link to the facebook group? Thank you.
We will meet at Hollywood Corners in Norman, OK. You can order food and drinks at the counter inside. If the weather is nice, there is plenty of shade and seating outside.

Im not sure how it works there, but in the US you don’t have to wait till renewal to switch insurance companies. You can switch any time and your current insurance company will refund any unused premium. You might want to see if that is the case there.
Sorry all, I've been out all weekend exploring the Ozarks. I think the 21st is probably pushing it time wise. I am going to set up the central OK meet and greet for the 28th. I will be out of state and unable to attend but I hope everyone who showed last time will attend again and keep the...
