I'll need to update my latest specs on the truck on the first posting. We spent last week in Moab cutting up some trails and getting in some good hiking. First picture is at the bottom of the Shafer Switchbacks, and the second is on Potash Road. We've regularly made Moab our yearly overlanding...
Hey all,
We're heading out to Moab next week, and we're considering taking the Rimrocker Trail to get there. I'm in a lifted 2016 Tacoma Off Road (2.5") with 33" tires. No sliders.
Does anyone have experience on Rimrocker? Is this something we can safely do on our own? We have a lot of...
We just made the decision to skip RMNP this next week and instead head to Moab. We don't want to get caught in the rain up there when hiking. Going to start a new thread seeing people's opinions on Rimrocker Trail
Thanks for all of the info guys! @Biker Eagle I hadn't considered the forest, but I think if we can find some scenic free locations that would be great. Were the campsites fairly quiet?
Hey all,
Does anyone have good camp spot locations (preferably free, since most campsites seem to be reserved) in or around the Rocky Mountain National Park area? We're trekking up from Colorado Springs and have never been to RMNP, so I'm not sure what to expect, but the pictures I've seen look...
Have you checked on Tacomaworld? If there's no one there that has one available, you might have to buy one

I would go have a local off road company/welder build a flat rack for you out of round tubing. Much cheaper. Then you can choose to either leave it the way it is, or attach a basket to it when needed

Awesome man! The North Rim was closed when we went, but we've heard a lot of good things, so we'll probably be back there next summer. How was camping out there?
I run OME on my 16 Tacoma. Couldn't be happier. I'd recommend doing both coils and shocks at the same time as they're almost like a coilover. Will save you time and multiple headaches

Here are some shots from Antelope Canyon in Paige, AZ in April 2018. I have plenty more but haven't processed them all yet.
The Dragon's Eye (my favorite shot):
We went to Turquoise Lake in Leadville, CO on June 29th, 2018. Highly recommend coming here. Nice, quiet, relaxing, hence the lack of pictures. The sunset was incredible.
I wanted to start creating a thread for all of our adventures, photos, and recorded tracks to keep everything in one location, and to start sharing everything with the community.
Starting off with our July 4th, 2018 adventure through Hotel Gulch and Winding Stairs in Woodland Park/Colorado...
It really wasn't, we were really surprised. We figured that it wasn't busy this weekend because most people are probably preparing to be there for the 4th. It worked out great and was super quiet all night!
Thanks @Boort ! We ended up finding an open spot at the Matchless camp site, right off the water. So no real overlanding experience, but it allowed my father-in-law to go back and forth from the water and campsite really easily, so it made for a good time. I'm definitely going to check those...
