I love it! i suggest this brand to anyone. they have different models for different things. i bought mine on drop.com for $250 on sale from $450. they stock them from time to time. i think right now they have an advanced frame single sit in kayak for $300 or so..
I dont have any specific to overlanding books, but i bike, climb, and hike a fair bit and try to keep a library of guide books and whatnot as references when looking for places to go. here's one of my shelves.
The Backcountry roads and California trails are great resources.
Great topic!
I just picked up an Advanced Elements Island Voyage 2 inflatable tandem. i was looking for a 14 foot fishing boat and trailer but realized after seeing a few i have no room for that, so i started looking at kayaks. i have a roof tent on my forester and dont like the idea of strapping yet another...
most of us camp near water pretty often and the more i go out the more I am motivated to fish and I wanted a way to store my fishing poles outside the car. I made this for some 20$ at the local ace hardware. Holds 3 rods. it's not the prettiest but it works super well. i have a soft case for my...

interesting and useful data.
Check out the Smittybilt trail shade.
Attaches to lots of different places. Super versatile. Not mounted full time. I wanted a shade for the side of my tent and was able to use this. It's pretty cheap too.
Took a trip to the Olympic peninsula in Washington and Crescent City ca. Also feeling inspired to go fishing more. Made a rod carrier for the rack. Carrier was under $30 and took all of 15 minutes to buy, make, and install. I've seen others that make the tube big enough to fit rod and reel, but...
yeah the bluetooth may sell me on this and the ability to take non light items is a huge plus. at this point the price is the limiting factor but in the long run i will probably get this system and find the easiest to install lights in the meantime. i have a cb and ham wired in the cab already...
This is exactly what i was looking for! thanks a lot! this seems a lot less intense than cutting into my eyesight housing. is there a switch in the car cabin or only accessible via the remote? i dont have the home link but i would like to install a small switch panel in the cabin on the unused...
That is fantastic. How was the install? Is there a lot of shenanigans under the housing panels? ive wondered what is under the eyesight covers for this same purpose. great work!
oh yeah it was a blast! got there before the heat took over and while there were still TONS of flowers from the super bloom (more between lancaster and trona than death valley). it was my first time there. we primarily stayed in Trona near the pinnacles. while at the pinnacles we saw quite a few...
I have the element. Have not used it yet. Mounted to the passenger seat bolts in the Forester with the bracketeer mount. Fits very well and works with so many different extinguishers.
