Take advantage of that shift! Trails anywhere near the Front Range get really crowded on the weekends, so weekday wheeling would be very enjoyable!

Gazetteer is great for high-level views, but if you want real detail and relatively current information these are the way to go, at least in my area. Plus, Trails Illustrated is a layer on Gaia as well :).

So, I've used a GPS with mapping feature for a long time but am a recent Gaia convert. That being said - I ALWAYS have paper maps as a backup (the Gazetteer as mentioned, plus NatGeo Trails illustrated if available for my area). Electronics break, maps and compass don't.
