    First time overlanding, advice needed...

Goler Wash might be a to tough for a newbe, watch some youtube videos and see what you think. Same with Lippincot Road. I haven't done either we were going to go down Lippincott but some people we talked to at Racetrack that just came up and scared my wife from wanting to do it. But they were...

Overland on a budget? Is it possible?

I'll add my 2 cents. First off I'm cheap, but like nice things. I would rather have fewer good things than a bunch of stuff. We have a Rubicon that will go everywhere we need to go. Still total stock other than tires. I sure a 4 Runner would do the same for you. We camped with the kids with a...

    Arizona Overlanders

Last Saturday night or Sunday morning we headed out to Four Peaks road to watch the meteor shower. We left our house around 1:30 Hunt HWY to Bee Line. I was surprised the traffic and the offload area west of 87 and south of Sugarloaf there were lights of of trucks, Jeeps, SXS had to be at...

We are new here from the Phoenix AZ area.

Nice, I'm still getting a feel for the forum but maybe we can setup a meet up at a local spot and see if there are other couples that would want to plan some trips. Todd

    Arizona Overlanders

Hi all, we are new here to the forum, four years in AZ. We live in NE Mesa near Usery park. Have a 2015 JKUR that is still stock. We are building a off road teardrop camper, we are getting a little old to be camping on the ground. LOL Meg nixed the idea of a RTT once she saw the ladder. It's...

    Who cooks with a Wok?

All good points. We won't be cooking inside the teardrop. I haven't figured out the galley yet but I'm planning on having a spot on the side, outside of the galley to mount the stove when we get to camp. All my wok cooking at home is done outside year round. Todd

    Who cooks with a Wok?

That should be good, it’s twice what most home stoves can put out. Do a search on how to season the wok, that is key. Todd

Show Me Your Overland Cocktail Bar

that is cool. I was talking with some friends that have a class A about traveling with open booze bottles of any type. We heard lots of different answers but am not sure what is legal. Anyone know? I think if its not accessible to the driver or passengers it was okay, Like the trunk, or...

    Who cooks with a Wok?

I have been using a wok at home for the last year but I also have a 80,000 BTU wok burner. We haven't bought takeout since. :grinning: I would like to use one in the teardrop I'm building but haven't picked a stove yet. I think I might be spoiled with the high heat I can get at home. I have...

We are new here from the Phoenix AZ area.

Hi all, we are from Mesa AZ and new here. We have been in AZ for about 4 years and moved here from the Chicago area. And yes we should have done it years ago. Our adventures started when the kids were little with a popup camper, when the kids got bigger the misses and I had time to do our own...

    Good DSLR for night pics?

I am just starting with the Astro stuff and use a 6D. Just know to get pictures of the MW like you see on Gram or other sites take a lot of photoshop skill. Sure you can get good results in Lightroom but even with the best camera and lens you are a far way from anything you see that makes you...

What happened to all the true adventurers?

I just found this site this week. In fact this is my first post. I read that article and can half agree with him but he missed the point that I think he wanted to make, or the point I would have made. If you want to have a vehicle that will take you camping in the backcountry and post...
