I served ice cream sandwiches to my son's baseball team after their game on a 95 degree day, from my Snomaster. You just want to keep it in the bottom as far from the lid as you can. Nice and cold down there.
In! We're looking for a place to explore, including challenging trails, the week of March 28. KAT is on the short list, so I'm interested in what advice you get in this thread.
My little 20 quart Alpicool is probably a year and a half old and is doing well. No issues. I've seen them as low as $170 on Amazon. I added foam insulation around the outside to help it out a little, but it runs and runs. It has been plugged in and running almost constantly.
I think it is...
I love it. I particularly love the 3D view of the terrain. I'll throw a pic up later of what that looks like right on the DBBB. I also love that it interfaces with my Inreach and it has wireless camera capability. I had one on the bottom of my Jeep looking forward so I could spot wheel...
I'd bet that's it! We went north, so the narrows hazard is a consistent description of what I remember going through before we got to the rocks. And it was pretty straight, too. It was also downhill with occiasional ruts, but I still think a full size would handle that part of it, albiet with...
Here is a drone shot of a clearing where we set up camp. It was perfect. It was a clearing for a power line where there was a maintenance box of some kind. It was mowed for access. Overall, it was just a great trail.
Here are a couple drone shots of an overlook over the Red River Gorge...
We didn't want any grief from him, Lol, but I had a big can of bear spray and a little something else for 4 legged threats that would work exceptionally well on a 2 legged threat. But honestly I've not heard of him getting violent. I did hear that he may have brandished a shotgun at someone at...
....One more thing...you can see the area benind the Gladiator. It is easily big enough to turn around.
I'd ask the DNR in the area where that spot is. I'd bet they can tell you and they could show you if there is a way around it. I think if you find that section of trail you can find a...
I don't think so. It ran along a big rock cliff to the right and a cliff-dropoff on the left. What I do remember was that it was after a very muddy and slick section of trail that went through some guy's property. The KY DNR told our group leader that the guy thinks its his private road and...
It would do everything except probably one spot, which was TOUGH. We had a group of about 20 Jeeps, all lifted with at least 35's on them. Everyone was on the skid plates hard. My JL Rubicon has a 3" lift and 35's and was on the cross members on the rock in a pretty good way. I had lockers...
I've got a locking Tuffy security cabinet in the back of my Jeep, mounted to the tailgate. It would hold a carbine, especially with an adjustable stock, if you had one and wanted to safely and securely store it, out of sight.

That's a good little radio with surprising range for 5w and even the little magnetic antenna, if mounted high and outside. Its range beats the heck out of a CB.
I've got a couple 15w Midland GMRS radios that work well, and I keep a 5w like that to loan to friends, along with a couple of their...
One more thing...We had so much fun my brother, who drove my JK, went straight to the Jeep dealer and traded his Camaro ZL-1 1LE on a Gladiator Rubicon! LOL! I think he's hooked!
It was fantastic. There wasn't much in the way of techical off-roading, with 95% of it not requiring 4wd, but it was just beautiful. Hurricane Creek Road was the only part that required 4wd and the ruts there weren't too bad. There was also one small climb out of a creek crossing in the NE...
Mine was a 93, as well! Bought it brand new for $11,700. It had zero rust and Line-X sprayed into the tub. I had about 130k miles on it when I sold it and it ran and looked like new. Lots of great memories with that old Jeep!
I hope you enjoy the heck out of it!
Wow, what a great looking YJ! What year is it? My first Jeep was a 93 in that same color. If you ever sell it, drop me a line! I've kicked myself since selling it in 2003!
