I also have the Viair 88P that I keep in my wife's car. She attracts flat tires like no one I've ever known. A tire plug kit and the 88P let me plug and play easily. The Viair products have never let me down.
You can kill whitetail deer almost anywhere in TX now. They'll be bigger in east Texas but south Texas is known for bigger racks. There is virtually no public hunting in the state so you'll have to pay to hunt on private land.
I use a dry bag with a little laundry soap and some water. Shake it around, rinse them out and you're good to go. Some folks drive with the clothes in the bag so the clothes get agitated while you're on the trail.
The truck is pretty new so I have installed it under the hood but have yet to wire and plumb it. It's usable as is--alligator clips and quick disconnect on the braided hose. But I will wire it to a dash switch and install a quick connect on the bumper, now that I have a steel bumper installed.
I have the same Viair 480C. It was mounted under the hood of My T4R for a couple of years and now lives under the hood of my Tacoma. Great compressor. I got mine as a "scratch and dent" buy off ebay for a great price and it has performed beautifully without an air tank.
Hey! What's the difference between a bassist and a large pizza? The pizza can feed a family of four. :sunglasses:
I've played bass at times, too, and liked my Ibanez acoustic bass even though it was cheap. But there's really nothing acoustic about them, i.e. you can't hear them at all unless...
I have no experience with a Journey. They are intriguing. As you get into guitar you will probably wind up with G.A.S. (guitar acquisition syndrome). After 20-30 years I have managed to kick it primarily by redirecting the obsession to my Tacoma and camping trailer.
The Backpacker sounds like crap. That's not a huge deal, perhaps, since any acoustic guitar played outside is not going to sound great. More importantly, for me at least, is it is almost impossible to play sitting down. There is no way to support it short of standing up to let it hang from a...
Given the issues--and there are certainly more that could be articulated--I just don't get why they are popular. I have a small aluminum trailer and sometimes just go with a ground tent. Either are preferable for me.
