    Anti Shanty Overland Trailer

The AC unit works well in 90+ degrees of heat and humidity here in KY. I need to work on the condensation and how to direct it away from the AC box it sits in.

    Anti Shanty Overland Trailer

We had the AC mounted on the side of the rig per AntiShanty's suggestion. They said it would work better. I haven't had any issues with it on the side either. I've taken the trailer on several narrow trails and it hasn't snagged any branches. It doesn't stick out any further than the...

Where to install Redarc Brake Controller in Jeep Gladiator

First of all, thanks for your input, and I do agree that is a great location, but my Mojave has that panel already occupied. If you or anyone else has another placement idea. Please share. I have been pondering if the control unit would fit under the grab handle? It would be out of the way and...

    AntiShanty members?.....

We just picked up our Pro and love it! Haven't had it out yet, but will very soon. Doing a little backyard camping to figure out all the components and what to add and delete from our old camping rig.

Where to install Redarc Brake Controller in Jeep Gladiator

I installed my Redarc in the 12V location and now need a 12V plug for new electronic item. Where have you installed your Redarc in your Jeep? Please let me know the Pros and Cons for your choice. Thanks in advance for replying.

    Overland Trailers

I think the walk in style of trailer is for me and my wife now. We are getting too old climbing up and down ladders of roof top tents at 2 in the morning. Plus we can now have heat in the winter. Old bones I guess.....

Is an Open Road 13,000 lb. Winch worth the purchase

I have been reviewing several videos on winches and I know that Warn is the go to name brand for function, but I have a limited budget and was wondering if the Open Road winch is worth the money? I will be installing a winch on my Gladiator. Any positive or negative thoughts appreciated.

    Anti Shanty Overland Trailer

Thanks for sharing your experience. Looking at the photos you sent, it looks like you have the AS-1 Pro. That is exactly the same model we ordered. Hearing about your time with the unit, makes me feel better about our decision to purchase. In the near future let me know how the A/C worked for...

    Anti Shanty Overland Trailer

It is great to hear from campers who have gotten one of these units! My wife and I pulled the trigger last night and put a deposit down on an AS-1 Pro. Looking forward to the time we can pick it up! I do have a question for you. You stated that you have your A/C in the front compartment. I like...

The unit does have a shore power hookup. A 2000 or 3000 watt generator should be able to power the unit for A/C. Another thought, I wonder if the larger solar generators could supply enough current for the A/C unit to run for a short period of time?

I have personally lived in homes with swamp coolers and had a love hate relationship. They work great in areas with low humidity, but also cause anything that is a paper product to curl or warp. I believe it would be a nice solution for short term, but long term not so much.
