Well the tires looked like they would work well for my intended use but for some reason they all wanted to take 9 to 10 ounces of weight to balance so they are being returned. So I went Plan B and just got what they had in stock the Pathfinder all-terrain. A little loud for a at but they will do the job

Took a quick little day trip . New tires work great , little loud and a little heavy but aired down to 10 they seem to work good . The fiancé drive around a bit , had to pull out a gx470 a couple times but eventually he got out and back on the road.

Mileage has dropped a little. From pdx to bend I got 17 from bend to pdx 18.5 considering the extra weight and size I’m happy so far .

Looks like a ball. I feel ya man. I was actually out last weekend for a solo trip. Couldn't make it to my destination, so came back down and camped at succor creek.

still not sure how exactly I’m going to make it just starting with the basic shape and figuring it out from there . My plan is to make a skeleton frame out of plywood, pocket hole s and a ton of glue . Then construction adhesive in some foam for extra insulation and rigidity. It may or may not work we will see .

Well, if it's any help, I build my trailer out of plywood, and it's been holding up quite well.

I framed the box using 2x4, as we were planning on mounting a rooftop tent up there, I needed it to support our weight.

The key is to use exterior or marine grade plywood, and to make sure the edges are sealed.

I don't know that I'd rely solely on plywood to keep its rigidity, especially given long spans in the center with no structural support. At a bare minimum, I'd reenforce the walls and roof with 1x2.this would also give you an area to run wires and lay down insulation.

I plan on gluing two- 3 layers of the plywood together making essentially glulams. should be a little lighter and uses up my scrap pile of plywood . This is kind a proof of concept for me .

Unfortunately I pulled a muscle in my back ( stupid garden ) so been sidelined a bit and haven’t really done much of anything really . Got the roof shape mostly figured out but still debating on making it a hard sided pop up or not . The fiancé kinda wants a tent trailer and for a lot of situations it would be fantastic so if we go that route I may abandon this whole pop top idea and just keep it solid walled .

Oh man has life been busy but slowly plugging away at the camper. Ended up not liking how tall it was so I cut 14 inches off the top of it and help strengthen it without adding much weight I made a jig so I could put splines in all the corners a little more work than I thought it was going to be and I’ve managed to ruin three router bit by hitting screws, but it’s coming along and so far I’m around 400lbs I think . Also to not I have most all my Titan swap parts together.
