On the fence - push me over: buy or build a skottle?

We have the skottle and use it for literally everything...if we want water for coffee, we take the burner from below and put it on the skottle and our water container on that...No pots, no pans, just a wooden spoon, a spatula, an old peculator with no innards for water, then utensils, and the skottle...we got rid of two 2 burner stoves, 2 pots and 2 frypans...it was silly. MUCH better now :) And yes, I paid full price and it was from here...$350

Totally a first-world moment here.

I'm waffling on whether I should just buy a new Skottle (love the idea, would get over the price/don't like the price)...or if I should build a Skottle (I like building things (I build guitars), price is much better).

I tend to prefer things to be "just right", so opening a box with a new Skottle checks that box for me. That said, it's not beneath me to try to match what "they" build (that's what got me started building guitars).

Buying one is fast/easy. Building one is slow/fun...

Sigh. Oh, and I really like the cooking part... :grinning:

Which way should I fall?
For what they cost to buy, build one for 1/10 the cost. And you can build it bigger or smaller as you desire.
