overland expo west 2020

I'll be driving to the Expo West from Virginia in my 87 YJ, trailer in tow.
Stopping at Palo Duro Canyon TX then Sedona before the expo.

Hoping to find an off-road route from Sedona to Expo. Any tips? _____________________

Planning something Grand Canyon after, but no sure where yet. Any tips? ____________________
I plan on being in Sedona for a couple days before Expo. There is definitely a backway from Mingus mountain north to Rt 40. We can meet up in Sedona. My plan is to get there 5/9/2020.

I just cancelled my trip. I honestly feel expo west will be cancelled. If this continues (and it will) vendors are limiting travel. I hope the venue does the right thing and re schedules it.

We are waiting it out as this this too shall pass. They have not reported the thousands that have recovered. Media has caused a panic, but we are waiting it out hoping it is not cancelled.

If this expo gets canceled i think ill shoot for the one in Colorado down the road

I'm doing Loveland. It fit better in my schedule when we planned for the year. If they cancel Flag, Loveland will be a zoo!

Damn so I guess ill be going to loveland

I am emailing all the members who wanted to volunteer at Expo West to see about availability. I will have a new list in about two weeks.

Managed to secure the first night at White Rim got Airport Campsite. Going to try for the second night tonight. Man is that process stressful. Will be worth it though. I will relax once I know we have a second site secured. Would have been nice to have secured a site that we wanted but they go so quick it's just a case of grab what you can. I have looked at the map for North Rim. Seems to be a lot of NFS land around the north rim with dispersed camping. Does anyone know if you need a permit for dispered camping in NFS land near the RIM?
I am not positive but I think it is about 75% permit first come first served type of thing but there are places you can camp no permit no reservation on both NFS and NPS remember though the biggest land management in the area is BLM which is also free to camp on without permits

It's an irresponsible decision on their part. Vendors are hurting for money right now. They are hurting for supply. I think it's going to be an empty venue and people will be disappointed.

The change is a bummer, but delayed is better than outright cancellation.
Pull Kitchen will be there!
