Got out to Rothrock today. A very interesting mountain climb. Is was like traveling from spring to winter in 4 miles.

The gamelands started closing gates.

Anyone hitting the trails this weekend?
Was hoping for some snow for some more sledding, but looks like more rain and near freezing temps.
If you hit the trails, be careful on the North side of the hills and bring some wet weather gear and some warm, dry clothes just in case.
Might hit some trails in Rothrock...got a birthday party and a honey do list though.

Made it out to Rothrock. Spent a good bit of time showing the family the campsites and we trekked up to one of the firetowers. Great beautiful day.
Last weekend for most of the opened gameland roads. The 29th closes up my local ones.
We are going to the outdoor show in the morning and the RV show in the evening on Saturday.
Hopefully going to do some more scouting in Rothrock on Sunday.

Thought i would chime in since i live in Glenside PA, right outside of Philadelphia. I take lots of trips up to the Poconos so maybe ill see a few of you guys up there or around Philadelphia if your are near.
We explored a good section of Rothrock today. Was 8 miles from Bald Eagle.

We then went up to Greenwood Firetower.

This will be the trip planning for a extended trip with overnight stays and daily exploring that will be an attempt to off pavement travel from the begining of one to the end of the other. Looks like it is possible according to the maps I have. Will need to get some tires in the mud to see for...

What part of Bald Eagle where you in today. We spent 5 hours today exploring and hiking. We covered 50 off pavement miles. We could have easily hit Bald Eagle and traveled there with no issue.
There is alot of cool things to see, if you like nature and still find it interesting. Lots of awesome vistas and plenty of wildlife.
We love checking out firetowers.
