Thanks @thedaddybadger ! I JUST drove through Atlanta a few days ago. Maybe we can grab a bite when my wife and I drive back through in the beginning of September.

Fair Warning: a good section of the route is closed through the Cohuttas. Check the FS website.

Benjamin - My rig is not ready for anything more than a gravel road currently but in the near future I am wanting 2 run the traverse route. Can u, or anyone, offer some advise on equipping for the route. I am fairly sure A lot is gravel roads but is there any technical or extreme terrain?

It has its time when its busy. Welcome to the group. You have to remember weekends get quiet when everyone goes out. Weekends are when we do trips or fabrication. Message us if you get bored or have any overlanding questions.
