Rally Point Details:

On the Weekend of April 27th & 28th, our adventures will be taking us to Mendocino National Forest. Our main attraction will be a riverside campsite for Saturday night. We’ll be exploring the trail system surrounding Letts Lake and Lake Pillsbury. Along the way we’ll be exploring lakes, springs, mountain peaks and a few hiking trails. This will be a two-day weekend trip starting early Saturday morning and coming back late Sunday evening.

This trip will be a mellow overlanding adventure mostly traversing along well-maintained dirt roads. Most of the forest service roads will be Maintenance Level 2 - High Clearance 4x4. There is going to be one water crossing that can get pretty deep, but it can be easily crossed. The trail down to the river camp will be steep and very narrow with overgrown foliage the entire way down, so expect pinstriping. Full size rigs will be fine, but this will not be a trailer friendly trip.

A week before the trip a group message will be sent out to everyone RSVPed on the rally point. This message will include the complete details of the trip as well as a link to a GPX file with all the tracks and waypoints.
