Douglas Creek - Overland Adventure & Campout

Come join us as we explore a bit of North Central Washingon near Wenatchee. Planning on heading over Stevens Pass Saturday morning, exploring a couple of roads on the way to Douglas Creek BLM area for an overnight camp and some exploring of the roads and trails in the area. This area has some great views and some pretty good campsites.

Rally Point Details:

We will meet at the Arlington Pilot truck stop for those of us in the north end with wheels rolling at 8:00 am and convoy over to Riverside Park in Cashmere for a pit stop (Google we should be there about 10:45ish) and to meet up with any folks coming from other places. From there we will head up into the hills and traverse through Swakane Canyon to the Columbia River, then a short drive to Douglas Creek for some more exploring and finding a camp site. Sunday morning we will pack up and explore the areas trails, heading out to the North onto Hwy 2 and head for home. If anyone wants to meet in Monroe to convoy over the pass, let me know and I will add a quick stop there at the Safeway parking lot at about 8:30 as we pass through also.

If everyone can bring a few pieces of firewood for an evening fire that would help as wood gathering is not permitted in the area.

The area is currently snow free but there may be some mud or clay covered roads depending on the current weather. most of the roads in the area are pretty rocky and justify airing down to keep your fillings in place.

This should be a great weekend, with some varied terain to shake off the winter cobwebs from your vehicle and yourself.

Looking forward to seeing those that join us.
