Gears, Gab & Grub - Camping Edition

Ok - enough of the armchair overlanding, spring is pretty much here so lets get out and have good old fashioned camp out! Planning on an over night at Baker Lake Kulshan Campground (overflow area) Being as it is off season, there are no fees currently. Since this will be the first trip/camping for many this season, we are keeping this simple and low level due to weather and road conditions. Come for the day to visit, or bring camping gear and stay for the night.

Rally Point Details:

We did some recon of the area this weekend, and the campground is currently snow free, most of the roads and trails in the area are either closed or impassible after a while due to snow levels but this "should" be improving over the next couple of weeks so we should be able to get a bit of off road play time in.

For those that want to meet at the Arlington Pilot on Sat morning (Leaving at 9:30 am) we will take the backroads thru Darrington ending up at Baker Lake in the afternoon to set up camp. (As an option you can just meet up with us at the lake.)

If you can bring a bit of dry firewood for a group camp fire that would be appreciated.

Sunday morning after breakfast we can run a couple of FS roads that are open, and then head back to civilization.

If you are bringing furry companions, please keep them leashed around camp and pick up after them in consideration of others. Thank you:)
