Rally Point Details:

Join the Overland Trail Guides crew for our annual Xmas Tree hunt in Mendocino National Forest. This is a family friendly event and we encourage those of you with kids to bring them out! We'll camp at the same location each night, and during the day, people have the option to hang out at camp, explore the surrounding trails, and of course go harvest your Xmas tree. Exact location and GPX files can be found in the original forum post.

Your best best for obtaining an Xmas tree permit at this time is to call ahead and reserve one at the Upper Lake Grocery Store: (707) 275-4018

Directions
We'll be camping at Bear Creek Campground in the southern end of the forest. Please check the first post in the forum for directions + GPX files.

Your event host (Ben) will be arriving to camp around 8pm on Friday, but you're welcome to arrive earlier.

Fires: It's going to be chilly at night, so if you're able to bring firewood and/or a chainsaw, please do! We'll likely be keeping the fire going through the daylight hours as well.
