Cascades Trip

This will be a 3 night base camp type trip the weekend of 8/1. Plan is to arrive Thursday afternoon/evening run some trails on Friday and Saturday then head home Sunday. Camp Location will be near Bumping Lake. Trails will be a loop into the Little Naches area up to Ravens Roost and one up around Bethel Ridge.

Rally Point Details:

Plan for this trip is to camp 3-5 miles in past Bumping Lake on FS 1800 arriving Thursday evening. Friday's run will be into the Little Naches area up to Ravens Roost via NF 1906 and back out on NF 1921 about a 30 mile loop with roughly 20 miles from camp to start of the loop. Great views from the top if it's clear being at 6,100'. Most of this loop is gravel FS roads with a short section that is a rocky up hill climb that turns into a rutted up section with roots and trees, all was passable in 2wd a few weeks ago. Saturdays run will be a longer day with about a 50 miles loop around Bethel Ridge and some spur roads, hitting Timberwolf Mtn and Cash Prairie. The start of this loop is about an hour from camp so this will be a minimum of a 6 hour run. Last time I ran this it was muddy but passable, should be dry by this trip. Sunday if we choose we can do a quick run before packing up, pack up and do a run on the way out or skip a run all together.
